"You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink."

Jacob looked down at me, and boy was he pissed. I stood up, pain shooting through my body, and Emmett stepped in front of me, guarding me from Jacobs reach.

"She means no harm." He said, simply.

"How! She was gonna kill Nessie!" He shouted.

"No she wasn't." Jasper helped Alicia off the ground and she slowly made her way over to me, putting her hands on my shoulders.

"Excuse me? Who do you think you are? You only just arrived and you think you know everything." Jacob scoffed, earning Alicia to give a small laugh.

"I'm the girl who just shot her father to save this coven. You may think that he was an ordinary human, but he was a hunter. I'm a hunter. Elizabeth's a hunter- it's in our nature to kill things like you." She spat. I cringed. 'For the last time, I'm retired.' I dared no say it, for it would ruin the moment.

"Oh, and I suppose we should be thanking you." Jacob rolled his eyes.

"Thanks," Renesme's small voice could be headed, as she entered the room. "You know, for not killing me." She looked at both me and my older sister. I nodded, in response, thinking it best not to speak, in case I said something that would set the wolf off. Esme turned to Jacob.

"Maybe you should go and cool off, Jacob. Before you do anything you regret." She smiled warmly at him and he walked past me, towards the open glass doors.

"I wouldn't regret ripping their heads off." He mumbled as he passed my sister and I. I could feel the tension in the room, as we all stayed silent for a few moments.

"You killed your dad...to save this coven?" Alice asked. Alicia sniffled. 'Oh god, she's getting emotional. Here comes a big speech about her self-righteous will to kill anything that brings her family harm.' I thought. I looked over at Edward, who just laughed. I rolled my eyes.

"He was the real monster. Not you guys." Was all she said. I was impressed. Usually she'd go on to say something about it being her duty to protect the people her family cares about and all that jazz.

"I'm just not sure that was the best way to handle that." I said, speaking for the first time in a while. Everyone looked at me. "I mean what are we gonna do with the body-" I looked over to where the body of my dad was supposed to be and it was gone. "Speaking of it, where did he go?" I asked, my voice cracking a bit. I just noticed that Rosalie and Carlisle were missing, when they walked through the front doors.

"We disposed of your fathers body." Carlisle said quietly.

"We buried him under a pile of leaves. It's best to let nature take its course." Rose sadly said. Wow. This day just kept getting depressing.

"I think it's best if we leave for now." Alicia piped up. I looked up at her like she was crazy, but she ignored me.

"We'll be back either tomorrow or in a few days, just to let you guys let today's events sink in." Alicia lightly pushed me towards the door, and I waved at the Cullen's. They all waved back, and we walked up the driveway to see a keep sitting there. Alicia took out a pair of keys and pressed a button, the car unlocking itself.

"Nice." I admired that jeep. She smiled and we hopped in.

"Yeah, I had to leave my bike at home." She smiled, and we left the Cullen residence, much to my dismay.
