9: Hospital emergency

Peridot's POV

I was in the waiting room of Beach city's hospital. I was biting my nails because of the stress. What if it's a big deal? What if she doesn't survive? I blame her mother for this.
A nurse came toward me.
"Wow, you really care about her, do you? It's been 6 hours i've seen you there." She said.
"Y...yea... she's my girlfriend, of course I care." I said in a tired tone. "C-can i... see her, please?" I asked.
She looked at me for a second.
"Yes b-"
I immediately got up.
"But. She might be sleeping cause we just ended the last surgery. Good news, she will survive."
My face lightened up.
"Do you have any of her family's phone number? We can't find anything in the records. " She asked me.
I couldn't let her mother take care of that.
"N-no. There's just me."
I followed her until we arrived in Lapis' room. I saw her, laying on the hospital bed. I ran on her and hugged her.
"Lapis! I'm so so sorry..."
She suddenly opened her eyes.
"P...peridot..."
I was crying from happiness.
Thank god she was alright.
"Yes, baby?"
"Are... you okay? Are you hurt?" She asked me.
"No no i'm alright i just hurt my elbow and scratched my knee but i'm okay."
"I'm sorry, Peridot. About all this. I thought running away would be a good idea but look, because of me you're hurt."
"Honey, it's not your fault, i promise, i'm okay. Look at you."
"I think I'm okay too..."
"Then there's nothing to worry about."
She smiled.
"I love you, Peridot Abigail Green."
"I love you too, Lapis Grace Lazuli."
We both smiled and then she kissed me.
The doctor entered.
"Lapis Lazuli, i have good news, you can leave the hospital today. The only problem is that there's no one to bring you home and-"
"She can stay in my house." I interrupted him.
"Well, i'm not sure, it's not the best idea-"
"I'll take care of her, please."
He looked at Lapis.
"Please?" She said.
"Well... Do you live with an adult ?"
"My brother is 19." I said.
"He would have to come here to sign some papers... I'll give him a signature permission."
"Thanks doctor!" Lapis said with a smile.
I immediately called my brother.

After signing everything, my brother drove us home.
Lapis' head was resting on my shoulder.
When we arrived, i told her to feel like home.
She layed on my bed.
"I'm sorry about all this..." she suddenly said.
"No! This is not your fault."
I layed on the bed next to her. She kissed me. I closed my eyes after she closed hers.
And we fell asleep.

Lapis' POV

The next morning, i woke up in her arms. I suddenly realized it was Monday and we had class in a few minutes. I decided to let Peridot sleep because she clearly didn't get enough sleep yesterday.
"Sleeping beauty." I whispered.
I got up the bed and my leg was still hurting from yesterday's accident. I went downstairs where her brother was eating breakfast.
"Morning, Lazuli!"
"Oh my... stop that."
And we both giggled.
Then i heard footsteps. I saw two lil arms taking my waist.
She kissed my back. I turned around to see my beautiful sleepy girlfriend. She was rubbing her eyes. She's adorable when she's tired.
I kissed her passionately.
"Ahem. Don't you guys have school today?" Her brother interrupted our kiss.
"Can you stop talking you clod, i'm trying to kiss my girlfriend." peridot said with a sleepy voice.
He laughed and went in his room.
"So, like we are skipping class today, is there something you wanna do?"
"As long as i'm with you, i don't care about what do we do." She said, still sleepy.
"I love you so much lil dork. I'm gonna take a shower be right back."

Peridot's POV

Lapis went to take a shower, i was kinda bored so i took my breakfast. I suddenly saw Lapis' phone ringing. I checked the phone ID. It was her mother. Ew. I looked around and answered the call.
"Lapis! Lapis ? Are you okay, goddamnit I was so worried."
"Oh yea? Worried? When did you start caring about her uh?"
"You... what are you doing with her phone?"
"She's staying at my place, and there's no way i'll let you see her. Never, do you hear me you clod?"
"I'm still her mother so watch your tone if you don't want me to call the police for kidnapping!"
I was a little bit scared to i hung up. I hope she won't call back.
Lapis got out of her shower with a towel around her.
"Is everything okay? I heard you talking with someone?"
"Nah, everything is a-okay, I must've been talking to that cloddy bottle of milk that won't open, hehe..."
She opened it for me and kissed my cheek.
"I'm gonna get dressed."
"Or you can stay undressed if you want..." i said with a playful smile.
She blushed and chuckled while going upstairs.
I quickly deleted the phone call and blocked her number.
Lapis came back, dressed and brushed.
"Woah, you're so sexy."
"Not as much as you, Peridot."
She winked and smiled.
"Do you wanna go hang out outside? Maybe go to the cinema?" I asked her.
"Y-"
"Can i come?" My brother said.
"No, Shane. It's a date."
"Yes." She giggled. "I'd love to go on a date with you."
She took my waist and kissed my lips.
I heard the sound of a picture being taken.
"You two are too cute, i swear to god."
"Wait, what are you doing?" I said, taking his phone of his hands.
"Posting a pic on Instagram, duh."
I can't. Believe. He just. Done this.
He took his phone back.
"Delete it. Now."
"Nooo!! You two are gonna give me so much likes."
I started punching him in the legs.
"De-lete IT!"
"Peri babe calm down it's just a picture. And look, it's some sort of way to making our couple official right?"
I was pouting.
"Wow! 54 likes and 5 comments! Jesus, Y'all are already popular!"
"Show me the comments!" I said.
And we read the comments.
