12: Back to school pt.2

Peridot's POV

Lapis, Tori and I were in the principal's office.
"We saw them! I promise Ms. Quartz ! You gotta believe us ! Why would Tori lie ? Plus, look. We have proofs." I said and took Tori's arm and pulled her sleeve.
"See?"
Tori was blushing.
"W...wait? Jasper and Toni did that to you ?"
She nodded slowly.
"I'm sorry, they will be suspended. I'll remove your detention..." (a/n : idk how detention works in other counties but here in france, they schedule the detention for another day.)
"Wow, thanks Ms.Quartz !" I said.
She giggled.
"It's the second time you stand for your friends, Peridot... you use to be very introvert. I'm glad you're changing."
I just smiled and we went outside.
'What does that mean tho....' i thought. 'Me? Introvert? Pff.'

Yea okay maybe a little.

"Hey Tori you wanna eat with us today?" Lapis asked.
She blushed and made a big smile.
"Y...yea ! I'd love to..." she answered.
After this, we went to class.

Lapis' POV

Peridot and I were talking in class when i noticed Amethyst was staring at my girlfriend. She immediately looked away, blushing. What's wrong with her ?
"So, I was thinking maybe wearing a green top and blue jeans ?" Peridot told me.
But i was distracted by Ame.
"Lapis ?"
When Peridot saw who i was watching, she asked me :
"What's wrong Lapis ? Is everything okay?"
I suddenly looked at Peri and smiled.
"Yes! Tell me more about your outfit."
"A... okay. Hum, well. I'm gonna wear a green top and blue pants. Sound good ?"
"Wait, who's party is it already?"
She stared at me for a second.
"It... was just a joke."
She chuckled.
"I love you." She said, putting her lips on mine.
I blushed and kissed her back.

At lunch, we sat at a table with Tori.
We could see on her face she was anxious about Jasper.
She was sweating and wasn't eating her food.
"Are you gonna... eat or something?" I asked her.
"I...i'm not hungry."
I smiled.
"Thank you guys about everything... without both of you, I'd be alone."
"No prob bob!" Peri said, her mouth full.
She laughed.
Why did she call her Bob? Isn't her name Tori?

Suddenly, we saw Pearl and Amethyst coming toward our table.
"Oh... hey Tori." Pearl said with a very small smile on her face, sitting next to me.
"What is she doing here?" Ame said in a mad tone, pointing at Tori.
Tori hid her face in her hands.
"Woah, calm down, she's a friend." Peri said and pated Tori's back.
"A friend? Meh..."
And Amethyst sat next to Peridot.
"You didn't forget my party tonight? Right?" Ame said playfully, her face way too close to Peridot's. She blushed.
"N...nah i didn't! I was thinking about what should I wear hehe..."
Peridot was uncomfortable. I could see it.
"Don't worry too much about this kind of things, bring yourself and it's perfect." Ame kept that playful tone. She was really getting close to Peridot and I hated it.
"Ahem." I got up, getting everyone around the table to stare at me. "Peridot, let's go. We have homework."
"We do? Wohhh!!"
I aggressively took my girlfriend's hand, staring madly at Amethyst.
She looked away. Just like before.

Peridot's POV
I was getting ready for Amethyst's party when I rethought about what happened earlier. Lapis acted really weird. Is she jealous or something? Never mind. I wanna have fun at this party. It's not often that someone invite me at a party.
Brush your teeth, brush your hair, get dressed and have fun.... i told myself.
I sent a text to Amethyst.
-where do u live already?
She answered me right away.
-address blah blah blah address blah blah

I closed my door, forgetting to tell my brother where i was going. I reopened the door.
"I'm going at Amethyst's. See ya."
"She's your new girlfriend? Just to you know I prefer Lapis. Ame is a lil... overexcited."
"What the fuck you clod?! Lapis is STILL my girlfriend!"
And I slammed the door.
