11: Back to school

Peridot's POV

It's Tuesday morning and Lapis and I decided we were ready to go back to school. With all her injuries, we skipped school yesterday. And also because I was tired. But, well. I'm still tired. We arrived in the school hallway, holding hands and people were staring at us. We suddenly see Tori and Toni looking at us with a bitchy look.
"Oh, so you two are...." Toni started.
"Together?" Tori continued.
Jasper arrived.
"what a gross couple!"
So we stopped holding hands.
And both Tori and Toni fake laughed.
Amethyst and her band arrived.
"Oh, fuck off jasper!"
"Pff..." and she went away.
"Why was she bothering you guys?" Pearl asked.
"Uh-"
"For nothing." I interrupted Lapis.
She looked at me weirdly.
"O...okay." Pearl said.
"Sooo, I'm hosting a party tomorrow night, are you guys coming?"
"Aw, I can't i have to go to that private biology lesson with Ms. Blue because i failed this semester.... but you guys go on and have fun!" Lapis said.
"I think i'll be able to go!" I said.
"Alright P-dot, see you tomorrow then!"
Thinking about it, I'm actually nervous. There's gonna be a lot of people i believe, i dont love people too much. And loud music, drunk people making out. AAAAH I DONT KNOW IF I WANNA GO ACTUALLY. I started blushing at my thoughts.
"Are you... nervous?" Lapis asked me as we were walking in the hallway.
"N...no." I denied very badly.
She stopped and took my shoulders.
"Hey, heey... it's gonna be okay."
I took a deep breath, making my shoulder lift.
"Okay." I chuckled.
She smiled and hugged me, leaving a kiss on my cheeks.

Amethyst's POV.

Pearl and I were sitting on a bench. The bell rang. She got up but i didn't move.
I was staring at Peridot and Lapis kissing.
I sighed. I took my phone and look, for the 1000th time, at the pic Peri's brother posted on instagram. Why are you doing this to me Peridot... i thought.
"You're coming?" Pearl said with a big smile.
I quickly hid my phone.
I faked smiled and got up, still staring at the couple.
"Are you alright?" Pearl asked me.
"Yea, yea dude, i'm okay..."
And we went in class.

In biology class, Peridot and Lapis are next to each other and are constantly laughing together. I sighed at them.

Just before lunch break i asked Peridot if she wanted to eat with me.
"Aw, i'm sorry, i promise Lapis i will eat with her !" She answered with a smiled.
I sighed loudly.
"Sorry..."
And she went away.
Ugh. Always 'Lapis'. Only 'Lapis'
I'm glad Lapis can't come to my party. I'm gonna have Peridot for myself. I already have a plan...

Peridot's POV

Lapis and I were walking home. She had her arm around my shoulder and we were laughing. I suddenly stopped because I saw Tori ((blue pearl)) alone, crying on the boardwalk.
"Oh my stars... what do you think happened?" I said.
"Maybe it has something to do with Toni and Jasper... i didn't see the three of them in biology class."
"Maybe we should go talk to her. I'm sure she needs friends right now. Let's go ask her what's up."
"... being nice to someone even tho she's been harassing you?"
"Yes... i mean, she's the less mean of the three... maybe she's actually not that bad."
I walked toward her.
"H...hey Tori... you doesn't seem alright... did something happened?" I asked.
She stared at me with her wet, red eyes.
Then, she hid her face in her hands like before.
"D... don't look at me... go away." She said, tears in her voice.
I can't let her like this.
"Listen to me." I sat next to her. "Whatever is your problem, I know you can solve it." I put a hand on her lap. "Okay?" I smiled.
She looked at my hand and looked at me.
"Why are you being so nice to me? Me and the girls ruined your life, didn't we?"
"Nah... I actually never care of what you guys say." I smiled again.
I took both of her hands and got her up.
She busted out crying in my arms.
"Thank you Peridot Green!" She said kinda loud.
"He... you can call me Peridot...."
She wiped her tears.
"I'm better now... i think." She said with her soft voice.
"Do you wanna talk about what happened?" Lapis said.
"No... yea! Maybe.... i don't know."
"Take deep breaths." I said.
"Okay... so, after we called you out with Jasper and Toni, Jasper asked if we wanted to skip class...

*Tori's POV flashback*
"Ouh! I'm coming! I sooo don't wanna go to biology..." Toni said.
"Nice. Tori, you're coming?"
But i stayed there, without saying a word.
I was shaking.
"...n...o..."
"What did you say?" Jasper said, taking my arm aggressively.
"I said No! I don't wanna skip biology. School is school and skipping class isn't a right thing to do."
"Don't talk to me with this tone you lil..."
And I removed my arm.
"Uh, oh..." Toni said, staying behind Jasper.
She pushed me on the ground.
She kicked me in the legs and got me up aggressively. She pushed me again but this time on the lockers.
Ms. Diamond arrived.
"What are you kids doing?"
And they both ran out. But i stayed here, crying.
"One hour of detention!" She yelled.
I was still crying. I looked at my arm and i was bleeding.

*end of the Flashback*

Peridot's POV

I took Tori's arm.
It was still bleeding a little. But we could see it was hurting.
"Ouch!"
"Did she do that? Tori you have to tell Ms. Diamond it wasn't you!" I said.
"She's never gonna believe me. It's not the first time..."
"Not the first time??" Lapis gasped.
Tori silently nodded.
"Look, we'll go with you tomorrow, you'll explain Ms. Quartz what happened, I'm sure she will believe u."
I pated her back.
"Thanks guys... it... it means a lot that you care..."
She smiled. So i smiled back.
"I'm so sorry about what I've done to you. I swear I'll never be friends with them anymore!"
"It's nothing...You're going home? We can stay with you if you want." i said
"Thank you a lot but I think I'll be able to go home on my own."
"Alright, see you tomorrow!"
"We're gonna kick their asses!!" Lapis yelled.
Tori laughed.
"I'm sure we will.... bye!"

Wow... it's funny how sometimes we think people are so mean, that they're actually not. They're just... hurt.
