AUTHOR'S NOTE: I've tried my best to get the characters to talk the way they would in the show back in the tenth century. I hope you love this story! (P.S I'm sorry it's so short!) All character bleong to L.J Smith and CW except for my OC!

                                                               THENTH CENTURY

I carried the basket, made of vines from the forest, back home to the village. When I arrived I saw Elijah Mikaelson and Niklaus Mikaelson fighting with their swords once again. I felt a small smirk creep upon my lips as I walked past the fight. When I walked into the hut my Mother was cutting up charred roots with the other witches in town Greta and Esther. "Mother, I fetched the berries." I told her. "Thank you darling." She took it from my hands as she placed it onto the floor. "I hope they were the ones you requested. I found it hard to find." I told her. "They are lovely." I smiled at her. "Why do you not run along to the caves?" She asked. "I will. Good day." I walked from the hut to see everyone back to their normal day routines. I slipped out of the town and down the dirt trail that was made as we moved here. When I reached the caves I noticed Rebekah Mikaelson was there as well, scratching something into the cave wall. "Am I intruding?" She turned slightly. "You are not." She said. I softly sat on a smooth rock that sat in the middle of the cave. "You really should fix up your hair every once in a few days." She said as she sat the rock down. "I have no need for that." I replied to her. "We all have seen your looks towards my brother." I felt her get behind me and pull the vines from my dark hair. "And make them more....appealing." I looked back at her. "I thought it looks nice." I told her. I felt her hands start working in a mass of my light colored hair. When she was finished she smiled in acomplishment. "How bad has it turned?" I asked her. "I do not think anyone will be complaining." She said. I heard scuffles and rocks being kicked around until I saw Kol walk into the cave entrance along with Rebekah's other brother named Henrick. I stood up a little to fast. "What brings the two of you down here?" Rebekah asked. "Maybe I just wanted to see my adoring little sister." Kol said. "Or maybe you came to see Alyah." Rebekah said in a suggestive tone. "Of course I came to see Alyah as well." Kol said. "Come Henrick.....let me show you of what I found in the forest." Rebekah took her little brothers hand before leaving the cave alone to Me and Kol. "You look...different today." He said. "Rebekah messed with my hair." I told him. "Do you mind if I add something?" He showed me the most beautiful blue flower that matched my eyes. "Of course not." He tucked it deep into a top braid before letting his hands fall from me. "It is very lovely, Kol." I told him in thanks. "I found it under the white oak and thought of you." I smiled lightly. "I was in your thoughts?" I asked. "You are quite always in my thoughts. You are always in my dreams as well." I felt his finger trace my jawline softly. "Then I must be interesting." His fingers then traced along my lip outline. He pulled back suddenly. "I must go now." Without a reply from me he was gone. He left so quick I did not see him go. TBC
