For a writer of a bestselling teenage romance novel Florence wasn't really clear on the meaning of love, she felt like in her life she had gone through so much in such a little space of time that all her emotions had become conflicted, she didn't really know what she was feeling when she was feeling it.

Like right now, she was back in this lonely, lonely flat lying down on the bed that had been occupied by Cole.

And that's when she found it.

Underneath his pillow, the hardback edge of a book, she knew she shouldn't but she still did it, she took the book out from under the pillow and opened the first page.

The date was from four years ago.

She shut the book again, this was a crazy invasion of privacy, Charlie was probably at the hospital now worrying her head off about their injured friend and here she was sneaking around his room.

But she'd seen the first word on the page and she knew she was a goner, she had no control over any of this, it was like there was an invisible force that was dragging her towards the book.

Because the first word had been Chase.
