Ok so some people are just like really spot on about what's happening

So, here we go
After frank died, Gerard was just in a really dark place, you know? There was a time gap of two months after he died before he "came back". In that time gee was really depressed and even growing to be suicidal because a big part is that he blamed Frank's death on himself because he made Frank get into the car . But gee is happy and pure and he only wants to be happy because in his mind people who are sad and angry are more like monsters and he really doesn't wanna be a monster. And so within those two months there were just dark thoughts and things he learned from the internet that he didn't want to face so it was sort of like pushed to the back of his subconscious. So like he knows how to commit suicide and all that shit like that but he ignores it. And then comes "Frank", a sort of visual to his dark thoughts. So this isn't really frank, obvs. Gerard just sort of created a whole person to cope with all the darkness and it's in the form of his dead boyfriend because that's where all the dark thoughts sprouted from, his death. And so throughout the story "frank" is just sort of tagging along with Gerard because he technically is Gerard, he's his thoughts. And when "Frank" starts going and telling Gerard that he'd be better off in heaven with frank and to kill himself, that's basically just Gerard being suicidal in a way that's easier for him to cope with. So he just wants to die basically because he thinks he'll go with Frank but instead of telling himself bc he doesn't want all those dark thoughts he has "Frank" tell him to instead. So "Frank" is just a form of all of Gerard's dark, suicidal thoughts that Gee created so that way he wouldn't have to face it himself
Hahahah imagine the real Frank actually like looking down from heaven or smth and just watching Gerard go through all this and he's just crying and begging him to stop and to be happy and to go with Ray
