Assassinating Fairy Tail

"It's Levy"  Erza said, which made Gray's deep blue eyes widen.

"Why would Levy do that? Lucy is her bestfriend. She wouldn't kill Nat-"

"Gajeel cheated on her with Lucy, she probably felt like she lost someone so she decided to kill Natsu to hurt Lucy and to make Gajeel guiltier than he already is"

Once Lucy and Gajeel's little argument was over, Erza and Gray slowly exited the park and walked briskly to Fairy Tail where they would find all the answers.

Erza felt like she was a step closer to the truth and she wanted that so bad- so bad that she wasn't walking anymore, she was a step closer to running.

The wind was against her face as her beautiful scarlet hair bounced along with every step.

Lucy cheated on Natsu. Lucy cheated on Natsu. Lucy cheated on Natsu.

Only God knew how much she loved the two but if she were to choose one, of course she'd choose Natsu- no question. Erza grew up with him and Gray, Lucy on the other hand, was just another wizard who entered Fairy Tail.

Erza somehow felt like Levy killed Natsu- it was a strong feeling, but she couldn't help but blame it all on Lucy for sleeping with Gajeel.

Erza was born guarded, but given this situation, she built her walls even higher. There was no one she could really trust, except Gray- who was her closest friend and proved worthy to be one. Gray was there for her through thick and thin and even now, he is with her, by her side.

Gray's skin slightly brushed against her's as they fastwalked to the guild. There was a pool of sweat that drenched his shirt at the chest area yet he still smelled like winter. They were just small details but Erza couldn't help but notice.

Erza's train of thoughts stopped abruptly as the sight of the guild came into view.

They opened the guild doors and everything was a mess.

"Mira, what the hell is happening?" Gray asked, clearly confused.

"J-Jet, he died. Team Shadow Gear just returned from a m-mission and h-he just d-died. L-Levy is really mad..." Mira answered, every word was a word closer to crying.

"Tell me!!! I know this isn't a coincidence! It was Natsu, then Romeo, then Loke, Then Jet?!?!? What did he f*cking do!?!? He did absolutely nothing wrong! He brought nothing but happiness into this guild!"

Levy said, screaming the words out of her mouth and into their ears. She was standing by the bar, holding Jet's lifeless body in her arms.

"They were killed, and you'd be stupid if you didn't believe that too. Now tell me if you killed them before I find you and kill you myself!!!"

Erza was taken aback- not only by Jet's death but also by her wrong intuition. Gray was right, Levy couldn't have killed Natsu, Romeo, Loke and Jet but if she didn't do it then who?!

Erza thought really hard but no one came to mind. She looked over her shoulder to see Gray standing silently behind her. His eyes looked dead, but it suited him well. He looked so down, of course, he lost a friend but Erza couldn't help but feel a little hurt for him too.

●●● 2 DAYS LATER●●●

Freed, Lisanna, Evergreen, Mirajane, Laxus and Elfman were laughing when Lucy, Erza, Gray, Levy, Gajeel, and Juvia came to the usual hangout- the porch of an abandoned house.

"What's so funny?" Levy asked, "I need a little more laughter in my life but I'm pretty sure my life is a joke enough" She sat on a chair after carefully wiping it clean.

Gray carefully looked over Levy. Her eyes had dark bags underneath them probably due to sleepless nights of mourning. He wanted to tell her so bad, but it wasn't his secret to tell.

Lucy and Gajeel were both here yet everything seemed fine, like nothing ever happened.

"Gray-sama~" Juvia said as she sat next to Gray.

Under normal circumstances, anyone would find Juvia annoying but Gray didn't see it that way. There were a lot of things wrong with Gray: his stripping habit, his cynical attitude and probably a million more other reasons but Juvia stayed.

Juvia and Gray were sort of close. Juvia wasn't as desperate as she seemed. They'd have normal conversations at the guild but obviously, Juvia couldn't hide her blush.

"Hey," Gray smiled, "how's it going?"

"Juvia is," She tucked a lock of her own ocean blue hair behind her ear, "still a little sad" she lets out a bitter chuckle. Gray gives off a sad smile before scooting a little closer to his left, where Erza was.

She was quiet and seemed like she was thinking of something.

"Why so serious?" Gray asked, his cheeks slightly red. "If Levy isn't the killer then who is?" Erza pursed her lips, thinking hard.

"Hey," Gray placed Erza's head against his shoulder and said, "It doesn't always have to be black and white, sometimes it's just......gray. Get it? Gray?"

Erza couldn't help but chuckle at Gray's petty joke and Gray couldn't help but smile after seeing Erza happy.

"But I'm serious Gray, I just feel so bad. I just blamed Levy of murder after knowing she got cheated on"

Gray sighed. He couldn't make things any better, no one could. People die and time goes on. There's nothing you could do. And as time went on like it always did, Fairy Tail would stay encapsulated in the past.
