Two heavy knocks made Arthur stand and answer the door. It was a sneering Severus at his door steps

"Good afternoon-"

Severus cut him off"Ara?"

Arthur sighed but allowed the man into his house. Ara was hugging her friends goodbye.

"Are you sure you have to leave?"Fred had complained

"Mum?"George turned to his mother

"Please?"Fred added

"No"

Ara turns at the sound of Severus's voice"Sev! Just the night?

"Ara, we must leave"Severus shook his head"Now, come'on. Quickly"He turned around with Ara hot on his heels. Once they disappear into the fire place without another word, Fred looked up at his mom with a frown"Mom"

"Get cleaned up"Molly told them"Dinner's about to be ready"

The boys unhappily followed Molly's word.

Ara on the other hand had frowned up at her guardian as they landed into Severus's living room"You don't like the Wea'ley's?"

"It's complicated"Severus mumbled"Are you ready to help me with a potion?"He hoped that would distract her.

own as he looks at the little girl"Ara do you want to help me with the Potion still?"

Ara had already been half way up the stairs"Yes!"

He followed her towards his office and opened the door. As he stepped in Ara had stopped in the door way.

"You said-"

"You can come in here when you're with me, Ara. Come in"Severus laughed. He was doing a lot more of that lately.

Ara stepped in and sat down on a chair across from Severus. The table between them had a cauldron on top of it, and shelf of books and ingredients filled the room. Ara was amazed"What are we making?"

Something easy, something easy. Severus said to himself"Wit-sharpening potion. It makes you think clearly"

"Does it work?"Ara raised him curiously

"Yes"

"Can I try it after?"

"It's not safe on someone so young, Ara. But I assure you it will work"

"But-"

"The eyes will not work here"Severus warned, not unkindly"But you can help me.

"Ok!"Ara grinned
