Hoseok watches as Jungkook shifts uneasily in the chair across from him, fiddling with his fingers. He clears his throat, shattering the thick layer of silence that was hanging over the two of them.
"So.. let's start with proper introductions, shall we?" Hoseok's eyes gleamed with fire, daring him to refuse. "You can start."
"...Well, I'm Jeon Jungkook." The male states, hands wrapped around his cup of water like they didn't know what else to do. Hoseok wrinkles his nose, not even trying to hide his distaste.
"I'm Jung Hoseok. Park Jimin's friend." Jungkook tensed at the name. "Nice to meet you." Hoseok continued, crossing legs. Obviously that statement was a lie.
"Nice to meet you as well." Jungkook said, cautiously eyeing the male in front of him. Silence took over the two of them again, Hoseok scanning over Jungkook. This time, Jungkook breaks the silence. "...is there any particular reason you wanted to see me?" Hoseok gives a breathy chuckle that sounds more like frustrated disbelief than anything. Hoseok sits up.
"Do you have any idea how much Jimin is pained by you?" Jungkook was surprised at the hostility in the male's voice, and at the words that were coming out of his mouth. "He stood in the pouring rain for 15 minutes, got sick, and still meets your...friends for you. He cares about you." It was Jungkook's turn to laugh.
"Maybe then he shouldn't have kissed Min Yoongi in front of me." Jungkook spat bitterly, grip tightening around his cup of water. "Now I don't even know what to feel. I had a fucking one night stand with him because my emotions are a clusterfuck, but you know what? You can go tell his ass to get over me. It's his fault we broke up, it's his fault he can't get over me. He lost me for good, and tell him I hope to never see his ugly face at a personal meeting again. Ever. Thanks." Jungkook stands up, his chair skidding loudly on the tile floor. Pointedly grabbing his phone from the table, he unlocks it and dials Taehyung's number.
"Jungkook?" Taehyung's confused voice comes from the other end of the line. Jungkook looks straight into Hoseok's eyes.
"Tae... I forgive you. I don't want to ignore you any longer." Jungkook says. Taehyung chokes on the other end of the line.
"I..uh...okay? Thanks for telling me? Talk to you whenever?" It sounds like a question but Taehyung hangs up anyway. Jungkook removes the phone from his ear and glares at Hoseok, who already has his eyes narrowed.
"If that's all, I'll be leaving." Jungkook says with a scowl and turns away.
"Sure. I'll make Jimin happier than you've ever made him." Jungkook flinched slightly, looking back at the brown-haired male.
"What?"
"Yeah, I like him. More than you probably ever did." Jungkook bit his lower lip. "Have a nice life, asshole." Hoseok smiles grimly and stands up, groceries in hand. Jungkook watches in shock as the older male shoves past him and out into the streets, not seeming to mind the drizzle.

Hoseok groaned in frustration, standing outside Jimin's apartment, trying to figure out what he should say to Jimin. Jimin, who was still hurting. Jimin, who was still in love with Jungkook. Jimin... who wouldn't see him as more than a friend. Hoseok huffed, leaning forward to rest his forehead on Jimin's door. Turning over his phone in his hands, Hoseok unlocked the door to Jimin's apartment with the spare key.
"Jimin-ah, I'm home." He called out tiredly, setting down the groceries down on the countertop. He looked up as Jimin shuffled into the room with a blanket wrapped around his shoulders, sniffling.
"Hyung? What took you so long?" Jimin asked with a small smile. Hoseok could see Jimin's eyes were swollen. "...Hoseok-hyung??" Jimin tilted his head, questioning the older's silence. Hoseok hesitated a bit before flashing Jimin a grin and shoving his phone in his back pocket.
