Seokjin sat at his desk, staring blankly at Jungkook's project report, with his glasses perched awkwardly on his nose.
"Good morning...?" Jungkook's greeting had turned into a question as he saw the usually composed older's out-of-it expression while walking into the office. "Hyung are you okay?" It was early in the morning, and no one else was there besides the two of them. Seokjin snapped out of his daze, vision refocusing on the younger in front of him.
"Hm? Oh, yeah." He replied, running his finger over the line for the supervisor's signature. Admittedly, he hadn't actually read the report in detail, but he trusted Jungkook enough. The younger frowned at his actions, knowing by the look on Seokjin's face that he probably didn't even know what the project was about.
"Hyung, what did you think of my pitch in the report? I need a 'go' or 'no-go' from you by today." Seokjin raised an eyebrow at Jungkook, who was looking at him like he knew the older hadn't bothered with the report. The older sighed, removing his glasses.
"Jungkook-ah, I think you know I haven't read your report. There probably isn't a pitch in it either." Jungkook didn't respond, waiting for his friend — and superior — to continue. When he didn't, Jungkook took it upon himself to ask the older.
"What's going on?" He asked, walking away to put his shoulder bag on his chair.
"Jungkook-ah?"
"Yeah?" The younger looked back at the older.
"I think I'm in love."
Jungkook choked.•••
The whole mood of the business meeting that the two main branches of the company were holding was quite frigid, considering there were only 8 people attending.
Ice seemed to flow between the head chairman and Yoongi, Seokjin was obviously avoiding eye contact with Namjoon while desperately trying to grab his cousin's attention, Namjoon looked like he was having an existential crisis, the two CEOs of the company were trying to get things under control but couldn't, and as Jungkook and Jaebum sat there next to each other in an attempt to write a briefing of the meeting, they wondered how the company got anything done if all the meetings were quite that dysfunctional. Tempted to break the silence, Jungkook just rubbed his face with an exasperated sigh, which only drew all the attention in the room to him. Jaebum winced with understanding from next to him, quietly reaching behind to pat him on the shoulder. It was going to be a long, long business meeting.•••
Namjoon tiredly ran his hand through his hair as he walked out of the meeting room, many thoughts running through his mind. He felt a hand on his shoulder and looked back with a questioning glance. Min Yoongi was standing there, and all Namjoon could do to not be rude was to gently tug his shoulder away and turn around so that he was facing the older.
"Yes?" He asked, looking at the older expectantly. Yoongi breathed out, undoing his cuff buttons.
"Let me just be straightforward and be done with it." A pause struck through the tense atmosphere between the two. "My grandfather is homophobic." Namjoon raised an eyebrow. "Seokjin-hyung doesn't know this yet, and well, I don't know, what do you want to do about it?" Namjoon's eyes narrowed as the older shrugged. 'What the hell is he saying?' He gestured for the older to continue. "I honestly don't know if you think your relationship-" Yoongi paused again, looking Namjoon directly in the eye. "...Is worth ruining Seokjin-hyung's career for. Think about it." The older finished and turned around with a nonchalant wave, walking down the hallway.•••
Hoseok stood behind, watching fondly as Jimin bounded up the steps and opened the door to the small-ish and old dance studio. He thought it was adorable— how Jimin brightened up when the teacher opened the door, quickly moving to give her a hug.
"Jimin-ah, weren't you here just a week ago?" The middle-aged woman laughed at her pupil.
"You know how Jimin gets, Ms. Choi." Hoseok steps in with a smile plastered across his face, draping an arm across Jimin's shoulders.
"Oh hi, Hoseok-ah. You don't have a class today, do you?"
"Ah no, I'm just visiting with Jimin today." The dance instructor grinned, making Hoseok blush.
"I knew you could do it." Ms. Choi winked.
"Ssem!"
"Do what?" Jimin asked, tilting his head to the side.
"You see..." Ms. Choi started, sitting on a stool she had seemingly pulled out of nowhere.
