Satellite Call

Sometimes it's Lonely.
Since I've been waiting so long for my one and only.
Up here in the sky, the satellites connect.
But unlike me, I am the Reject.

I've waited for someone to call out for me.
But I'm never who they want me to be.
So here I am, making my Satellite Call.
To anyone who will listen to me silently falling.

But, here I am, awaiting my loves arrival.
Looking at the vast sky.
And wondering if any of the stars are you.

I've seen many people so happy.
And I wonder if I can be too.
But, I only have one half of my heart.
The other half is with someone I am still searching for.

People tend to ask on why I haven't given up.
My answer is always, if my lover is out there, there is no point to let it slide,
for he may be searching too, on the other side.
They always respond, love won't come your way, your blind.

But that never stopped me, but the aching in my heart tried to.
It's been years since I had my other half,
Before it was torn apart,
By a man who couldn't love.
And that was all he had to do.

It made me aware to many out there.
But I know you are out there too.
And that there are more painful things to bare
But I would go through it all to say,
I Love You.

And I walked the streets of London.
Head held high to see you in the crowd.
To see the one with Half A Heart.
And all I see are couples.
Until I see you.

Fiery Orange Hair.
Guitar by your side.
Colors up you arm.
I was glad I wasn't the only one.

And that's when we made eye contact.
Ocean Blue Eyes.
Freckles on Cheeks.
And a wonderful smile.

He came up to me.
A lot smaller than he seems.
And shows me my Satellite Call.

I look into his eyes and nod.
Feeling rather odd inside.
The pounding in my chest came up to my ears.
A beauty of a sound I haven't heard in a while.
And I knew,
That I was in love.

Our hearts collided.
And it felt like heaven.

It was as if the world silenced.
And only our hearts were beating.

It was only us two in the world.
And the future together.

At that moment, we both knew what was going on.

We were in love.
