~9~ Truths and Schemes

"What, how do you know?" You attempted to grab duusu who was too fast for you.

"Ah, you see," a turtle kwami flew out, "I have my own kwami, I'm actually a guardian. I'm the one who decided you would be peacock."

"Why me?" You stopped trying to catch duusu and faced the man.

"You're a special case, usually I choose someone who has personally saved me from something, but you saved all of Paris with a hand mirror. Your heroism didn't stop there, you contained the Akuma and took care of Cat noir. It almost felt wrong not to give you a miraculous."

"Oh, well thank you, but I'm not all that good. Duusu why did you bring me here?" Duusu landed on your shoulder and held onto your neck.

"He gives great massages, and he can help with your back. The last villain sent her flying before she could transform and she took a pretty big fall." 

"Ah yes of course, here lay down on your stomach right here," The old man instructed you to lay down on a mat before him so you made your way over and with his help got down on your stomach.

He started kneading into your back, it was painful but a good painful. You could feel the pain fleeing from your back.

"So, how do you and Cat Noir get along?" The man pried.

"As peacock and Cat Noir we're still acquaintances, but as (Y/N) and Cat Noir he's taking me on surprise dates and giving me special treatment when I haven't transformed yet around a villain." You finally got to speak to someone about the real you and Cat Noir's relationship without them freaking out or trying to interview you. 

"I see, well that's good that at least one side of you get's along." He continued to massage you while you thought about that.

"What do you mean by one side of us, you do know Cat Noir's real self, are you saying we don't get along?"

"No you get along just fine," he chuckles as he continues to work on your back.

"So I know him?" You smirk as you close your eyes feeling quite slick.

"You might, I am not telling you who he is, you both have to stay secret, even to each other. I've seen two miraculous holders fall in love before you. The previous peacock and the previous Hawkmoth. They fell in love and revealed to each other who they were, they ended up getting married and having a son but when the peacock died he sealed her miraculous away and I'm not sure what he did with his miraculous but now it's in the hands of whoever Hawkmoth is."It saddened you to hear the story.

"Hm... we need to get the miraculous away from him, it's too bad we don't know who he is." You sigh then smile when he stops massaging you.

"There we go peacock, You should feel way better now." You sat up, your back ached a little bit but no where near as bad as it did before. 

"Wow thank you so much, It feels so much better, I should be up and fighting again in no time." You and Duusu headed out of his clinic and transformed because you had something to do. You walked the same trail you took the day you ran from Chloe. As expected Cat Noir soon appeared.

"Peacock, where have you been? I needed you." Cat Noir gripped your shoulders.

"I'm sorry Cat, I've been looking for you to tell you. After our last battle that I was included in, somebody hurt me and I was unable to get to you in time." His face morphs from anger to surprise.

"You were hurt, who hurt you, are you okay?" He looked over your body looking for some sign of an injury.

"I'm fine, it was my back by the way, I just left a healer, I'm better now. It hurts less now but it still does hurt, I should be able to help you next time a villain appears." You grabbed your fan from your side and started spinning it a bit.

"Listen Cat, I have a plan. We could continue to save Paris the way we've been doing, or we can actually save it. What I'm proposing is we start looking for Hawkmoth, and squish him like the bug he is." 

"How about you use that fan for this," you turn to see him holding a jar that contained the akuma you assumed belonged to Chloe. He sets it free and you strike down on it, bringing it back to it's original state. "But how do you assume we even find Hawkmoth, he has other people do his dirty work for him."

"I don't know, it was just a thought, I'll think of some sort of plan, until next time." You ran off making sure Cat didn't follow you to your home, since he knew where the real you lives. You turned back into yourself once inside. 

"(Y/N) why did you run home?" Duusu asked, flying to the kitchen to recharge herself.

"How else would Peacock go home, call a cab and basically reveal to the driver where she lives?" You followed Duusu into the kitchen at a slower pace.

"No you would fly home, I assume it would be easier on your back?"

"And how exactly would I do that Duusu?" You crossed your arms and sat on the counter.

"With your fan, did I never explain it to you?" You shoo your head at Dusuu. "Well, if you hold your fan above your head and spin it like a propeller you'll be able to fly in the direction you point it."

"Well thanks for telling me now. I need to think about how to get Hawkmoth though."
