A Day Before My 16th Birthday

Alexis POV:

I feel bad leaving Aubrielle out, but that's the only way this plan would work successfully. She probably think I'm up to something shady since I've been dodging her left and right every time we run into each other. To be honest, it's not even like that, I just don't want to spill the beans. She'll get over it once she realizes it's nothing bad or whatever.

Me and Jill have been talking for a couple of weeks now, she let me know what's up and how she was feeling. Before you start to think the worst, it isn't even nothing like that, we are strictly platonic friends, nothing more nothing less. I've just been helping her with a few things she couldn't do with Aubrielle, that would be strange.

I can't wait until it's all over so things can go back to normal because I miss my bestie.

Aubrielle POV

This week has been like a roller coaster.
I've been chilling with KC and my cousin most of this week.
Me and KC have been catching up on all the things that have happened with each other the past year and a half.
I wasn't really expecting some of the things he told me but it's believable. I totally understand.
I told him some of the things that I've been through not everything but enough. I'm not trying to be secretive, I'll tell him eventually.

Me and my family were all sitting in the living room watching tv. The little ones were drifting off to sleep but the older ones were on their phones periodically.

My phone starts vibrating, it was a message from Alexis.What does she want she went ghost on me like Casper. I answer the phone 'Hello.' I said. 'Hey Bri wyd' she asked. Is she really serious right now. 'I'm actually busy so I can't talk to you right at this moment.' I said. 'Oh okay, well can you meet me at Arrowhead Mall later on around 4pm?' She asked sounding kind of sad, yet she still had a little hope in her voice. 'Okay I'll be there, bye'. I hung up before she could say anything else, like I don't have time for all the trickery.

Later On That Day

I'm heading out to go to the mall, to meet up with Alexis. I wonder why she wants to hang out all of a sudden when she couldn't be bothered with me last week. Anyway I'm going to find out today because I don't need any fake friends around me honestly.

I pull up at the mall, I sit in the car for wait had to been at least 10 minutes, seeing wether I should get out or not. Finally I get out, waited at the food court, then someone tapped me on my shoulder. I turned to see who it was, it was Alexis.
'So why did you want to chill all of a sudden?' I asked bluntly. I couldn't really read her expression right now. 'I just wanted to hangout, we have been kicking it like we should.' She said. 'Well, who fault is that?' I asked already knowing the answer. She didn't say anything. 'Every time I've tried to talk to you, you've always turned me down or went off somewhere with Jill, I thought we were supposed to be best friends/sisters, I would've never thought we would get to this point in our friendship.' I said kind of sad. 'I'm sorry Aubrielle, I wish I could tell you why I've been so distant but I promised that I wouldn't tell anyone. And you know I always keep my promises.' She said on the verge of crying. 'Okay I understand you made a promise but that doesn't mean you have to distance yourself from me, that really hurts my feelings, it makes me feel as if I'm not good enough.' I said. 'I'm really sorry, but it's the only way I wouldn't break the promise I made, you know I tell you everything even when I don't want to sometimes. I understand that you're mad, I do, but I never would try to hurt your feelings purposefully and you know that. It's just that I made a promise and you know how I am about promises.' She said. 'I understand but I'm still a little hurt.' I said. 'I know, but we're still best friends right?' She asked. 'Yes' I said. 'Okay great, when this is all over you won't be mad at me anymore, I promise' She said with hopeful eyes.
