Amber

I slowly opened my eyes not knowing when I fell asleep last night. It was hard to close my eyes without seeing Kamen, I missed her so much and it's only been a few hours. I just wanted to hold her again

For a second I forgot where I was at, forgetting that August nicely invited me into his home. I ain't gonna lie I was kind of scared to get up and go outside the room because I just felt really nervous and uncomfortable

But I got up anyway and grabbed my crunches making my way out of the door and down the hall into the kitchen where August was leaning against the counter drawing in what looked like a sketch book until he looked when he heard me coming

"Good morning" I said softly looking down avoiding eye contact

"mornin'.... you hungry"

I shook my head "no" knowing that I was, but he didn't buy the act anyway

"Dats to bad" He said looking through the cabinets and refrigerator "I got bacon, cereal, pancakes, eggs... what'chu want"

"I'm good august"

"Ard cereal it is then"

I scrunched up my face "not a big cereal fan" I lied

"Eggs then"

"Eggs make me sick"

He turned around towards me with an annoyed look on his face "seriously?"

I shrugged my shoulders

"Why ya gotta make dis so hard"

"I'm actually making it easier for you"

"How?"

"Because you don't have to put up an effort to feed me"

"Not a pra'lem fa me"

I stayed silent putting my head down and played with my nails. I could feel his eyes on me but I didn't dare to look up

"Fine... I can't make you eat, just let me know when you want something"

I nodded still with my head down

"I ain't gotta work today so... we can go get you some more stuff you need"

"I don't want you spending all your money on me"

"Nah don't worry bout it" he waved me off "ion even gotta go which'chu I can jus give you da money and stay in da car"

"Ok" I agreed because I know he was getting frustrated and annoyed with me always pushing his help away

"That was easier den I thought"

I rolled my eyes and looked down at the clothes I had slept it, August's clothes

"I gotta go like this"

He chuckled "what? you don't like my fit"

"Not on me"

"I think my clothes look pretty good on you" He said smirking and stroking his gotee
