Upon arriving on the Isle of the Lost, at first Princess [Y/N] wasn't very scared. She had the belief that while the villains would definitely do harm to her if given the chance, the children were just misunderstood. So she just went around the Isle talking to some kids she picked at random to see if maybe they'd be interested in coming to Auradon.
She was surprised to find just how many kids wanted to go to Auradon; while it still was by no means a lot, and most of the kids she asked told her no, plenty still agreed to go.
After walking for a good while, she heard her stomach growl so she decided to maybe try to find somewhere to eat. It didn't seem like there was a lot of options as far as food, so she just went into the first place that seemed good, Ursula's Fish and Chips. Everyone stared at her, but she ignored them as best as she could, glancing over and seeing a particularly handsome man watching her. He wore mostly red, a hook placed on the table next to his plate. [Y/N] gulped at how he was looking at her, so she just got her food, eating as quickly as she could before getting out of there.
Leaving the restaurant, she felt differently about the Isle. She felt more crept out, and she felt even less welcomed than before. Now, she kept glancing over her shoulder. She felt watched.
"Everything is fine, don't worry so much...besides, after this next hour you'll be on your way back to Auradon." She reminded herself softly, and after an unknown amount of time wandering and looking around, she suddenly realized she had no idea where she was. Maybe she should have taken Jay up on his offer to guide her...
She looked around, realizing she had entered an alleyway with a dead in, so she turned around to head back and yelping when she ran right into somebody. "Oh! I'm so- hey!" She screamed when the unknown person grabbed her purse that she carried with her, him trying to take it from her. In just a bit of reaction, she flung her fist right towards where she assumed the assailant's face was, making contact with the jaw which took the assailant by surprise.
"Ouch! Aye, what the fuck?! I thought ye were a fuckin' princess!" Said a thick accent when he let go of [Y/N]'s purse, him taking a step back and gripping his jaw.
"I am a princess, and who do you think you are grabbing my purse? How dare you!" The princess said as she looked at him, crossing her arms as her eyes adjusted to the dim lighting and she suddenly realized who he was. "You're the gentleman from the resturant...the one with the hook." She said as she looked at him. He was quite handsome, even more so up close. But she had to remind herself that he probably knew this, and he would use it to his advantage.
"I thought princesses don't punch, fuck." The man said, overcoming the shock and looking at her, stuffing his free hand in his pocket, him carrying the hook in his other hand, although you could see his actual hand as well. "Anyways, I'm Harry Hook, son of Captain Hook." He said, looking at the frightened princess, even though she wouldn't show it.
"So I could tell from the hook you're carrying...why do you have a hook if you have a hand? Oh, and I'm [Y/N], daughter of Tiana and Naveed." She introduced, giving a small curtsy.
"Nice ta meet ye, [Y/N], know I don't do formalities. And it's aesthetic. I'm a pirate, all good pirates have a hook." He said, looking over when he started hearing a lot more rustling than before. "Come on, yer highness, let's get ye somewhere safer. The Isle isn't safe after dark." He said, saying the 'your highness' with a sort of sarcasm that she was sure was meant to be offensive. But [Y/N] decided not to give him the satisfaction.
"Wait, what time is it?" She asked him, suddenly realizing that the sun was setting and she did need to get home.
"It's almost eight, ye can stay at me place until mornin'." He said nonchalantly, to which [Y/N] pulled her arm away from him and crossed her arms.
"Um, excuse you, no I will not! I am a princess, and I just met you! You could easily kidnap me or something. I won't do it. I'm heading back to to the limo to go back to Auradon." She said sternly as she crossed her arms, and Harry rolled his eyes.
"Good luck finding yer way then, cause I won't show ye." Harry said simply, beginning to walk off. Once he was a few feet away, [Y/N] realized there were quite a few people watching her, so she quickly ran after Harry.
"I refuse to stay in the same room as you."
"Tough luck, it's that or ye sleep on me couch. And that's typically where me dad passes out." Harry said, and she gave a small frown. "But, if it really makes ye that uncomfortable, I'll sleep on the floor or something, princess."
When they got to the pirates home, part of her wasn't surprised to find that the home was a total mess. "Follow me," Harry said as he leads the apprehensive princess down the hallway to his room, which was surprisingly much cleaner than the rest of the home. Still not clean, but better. "Make yeself at home, I guess," Harry said, going and sitting in an old wood chair by an even older desk that looked like it was pulled up from an old shipwreck or something.
"Um...you have a lovely room." [Y/N] said, to which he shrugged and just looked out the window, not really saying anything, the two teenagers able to hear what was likely Captain Hook yelling at someone, and someone yelling back. It sounded like a girl, possibly one of Harry's sisters she imagined. Neither of them said much, so she just laid down on Harry's bed, which was rather uncomfortable but she didn't complain, he was kind enough to offer it to her.
"Harry?" The princess whispered later on in the night, staring up at the ceiling. "Harry, are you awake?" She whispered again after a moment.
"Mmhmm." The pirate replied after a few seconds.
"I'm sorry for punching you...and thank you for allowing me to stay here for the night until I can go home safely." She whispered, afraid to make too much noise.
"Eh, it's no problem, lass. Ye didn't hit me that hard...and besides, I couldn't let a pretty girl like ye be all by herself late at night on the Isle." Harry said, to which the princess gave a small smile and looked over at where he lay on a makeshift bed of old clothes. She knew he was good deep down, just from his small actions.
"Still, thank you...Harry, would you lay up here with me? Please?" The girl asked, surprising herself with the question, but she didn't want to be alone, she didn't feel completely safe in the environment she was in. He helped her feel safe. He didn't reply, but after a moment she saw his form get up and head over to the bed, getting on next to her and wrapping an arm around her.
"Better?"
"Yes...thank you."
"If ye say thank ye one more time I'll put ye outside." He said, rubbing her back some as he relaxed into the mattress, and she gave a small giggle.
"Sorry...good night, Harry Hook." She whispered, waiting a moment before kissing his cheek and laying her head on his shoulder to fall asleep.
The next morning, she woke up and yawned, opening her eyes and seeing the handsome pirate watching her, which caused her face to heat up. "What? Was I talking in my sleep?" She asked, and part of her worried that she had drooled. It happened before so she wouldn't be surprised if she did it again. Man, that would be embarrassing.
Harry chuckled and shook his head. "No, ye are just cute when ye sleep." He said, sitting up and getting out of the bed. His words caused the girl to blush, but she did her best to keep it under control so she just went to the broken mirror and fixed her hair as best as possible.
"Hey, uh, princess?" Harry asked, and when she turned around she found him watching her.
"Yes?"
"Are there any openings in Auradon? I'm thinking maybe it's time for a change." He asked her, although he would never admit he just wanted to be able to have the chance to see the beautiful princess again. She smiled at him, giving a nod.
"There's always room, Harry...would you like to accompany me back today?" She asked. Part of her thought to herself that his attempts to rob her were successful, but not of her purse. No, it was something much more valuable.
"Eh, I guess. Someone has to make sure ye don't get lost...oh, by the way, ye drool in yer sleep."
