Twins By Blood

This isn't a shipping oneshot. I'm using two of my characters that are twins and were raised in a laboratory. I used the song Evelyn, Evelyn because it's very similar to the situation. They aren't human, they're wolves.

"Righty, why do you want to leave?" Lefty asked her sister. "Don't you feel like it isn't right?" She shot back at Lefty. "Everything is just going fine." Lefty assured, holding out a toy. Righty glanced over to it. "It's broken, I don't want to play." She said, coldly. Righty broke eye contact.

"We grew up so close." Lefty whispered. "Closer than anything." Righty continued. They shared almost everything. Their bed, toys, and food. They told each other everything they did everyday. They would ask each other 'what should we wear today?' or 'what should we eat today?'

     "Can we go ice skating?"

"But we just did that yesterday."

     "Can we be firemen?"

     "Can we be astronauts?"

They would dream about seeing other things outside of the lab. "What if they find us?" Lefty muttered. "They're not looking anyway." Righty said.

     "Righty,"

     "Lefty,"

     "Why do we bother staying?"

     "Why are you running away?"

     "Don't you feel like separating?"

     "....Everything is just going swell."

     "....I don't want to play."

Righty looked over to her sister, staring blankly at the floor. Lefty was on the brink of tears. The scientists Lefty trusted had just taken one of their eyes. They took Lefty's left eye, and they took Righty's right eye. "It was our birthday." Righty sighed. "So why are we crying?" Lefty's voice cracked.

"I'm always by your side." Righty said towards her twin.

"I feel like I'm a ghost." Lefty whispered.

Their 'room' was now a cage. They would barely see any other animals now.

"Should we be movie stars?"

"Will we be millionaires?"

"I want to be famous."

"They're watching us anyway." Lefty mumbled, breaking the silence. She was losing her sanity, bit by bit, everyday. Righty was worried for her. "Why do we bother to stay?" Righty asked Lefty, who had a tear falling down her cheek. "Why are you running away?" Lefty asked, her voice low. She seems like she doesn't want to leave, with the look in her eye.

"Don't you feel like separating?" Righty asked her, turning her head away.

"Everything is just going good." Lefty said, almost growling. Her face went from sadness to a scowl.

"You're broken, I don't want to play." Righty said, feeling her throat clog up.

"We grew up so very close," Righty started. Seeing that Lefty didn't continue, she went ahead. "A parasite needs a host." She said, quietly.

"I'm only trying to do what is best for us!" Lefty nearly shouted, turning towards Righty.

"Well I never asked for this," Righty snarled. "I never wanted this." She started to stand. "All that I want is some time to myself." Righty growled, stepping closer towards the cowering Lefty.

"Looking in your eye," Lefty started, quietly. "I'm coming home." She said, starting to rise. Lefty put her paw on the side of Righty's face.

"Just get away from me," Righty snapped, turning away from Lefty. "Please just stop touching me." Righty said as she slapped Lefty's paw away. "You're always trying to be someone else!" She shouted, showing her fangs.

"Now I realized," Lefty whispered, barely audible. "I'm not alone." She looked down at the floor.

"Well you're only scared of me." Righty grinned.

"You never cared for me!" Lefty's voice cracked, she already lost most of her sanity by now.

"Why don't you let me free?" Righty frowned. She felt like she was about to burst into tears as well.

"Because you never dare to be!" Lefty yelled, Righty was shocked at what she said. Righty always wanted to be free, and Lefty knew that. How could she forget so easily?

"'Cause you never listen," They said in unison, Lefty shouting and Righty saying calmly, losing her anger. "You're always insisting!" They continued.

"Just stop reminiscing!" Righty said at the same time as Lefty said "I'm only reminiscing!"

"I feel like there is something missing." They said together, Lefty lowering her voice.

"I just want my privacy..." Righty said, sitting down. "I just want you here with me!" Lefty said with sadness in her voice.

"God, why don't you just leave me alone?" Righty said, rubbing her temples. "God, can't we just get along." Lefty said along with her. Lefty sat down across from her sister, who was baring her teeth and breathing heavily. Lefty's eye was still spilling tears and looked heartbroken. If only she hadn't been losing her sanity, they wouldn't have been arguing.

     "Righty..."

     "Lefty."

I need to practice writing in third person a bit more. So intentionally, Lefty does go insane because of the scientists and Righty eventually escapes and becomes a 'rebel'. Anyways, hope you liked it! Song is Evelyn, Evelyn, video lyrics are at top. I also purposely changed some words. Feel free to send requests! ~Kurativ
