On Thursday, Callie and Lexi took the day off of work to see to their four youngest kids. They all went to see Child Psychologist, Bethany Greene-Marks and one of Lena Adams Foster's closest friends. The atmosphere was nice.
In the waiting room, Bethany Greene-Marks, walked in and smiled. "Hi Callie. It's been a long time. How are your moms and brothers?"
"My moms are great and my brother's are good I guess. They don't live in the area. How are you?"
"Good," she added with a warm smile as she saw the four youngest kids and how they acted.
"This is my wife, Alexandra. But she goes by Lexi," Callie added.
"It's a pleasure," Bethany added. "Now who are these four?"
Oliver and Olivia buried their faces in their mommy's neck and Lexi smiled. "These are twins, Oliver and Olivia. They just turned six and were adopted at birth."
"And these are twins Lafayette and Alexandra. They were adopted earlier in the year and they will be seven soon. They came from foster care," Callie added.
Bethany nodded as she left the kids in the playroom and talked with the moms' in private.
"Where the twin girls' abused in foster care?" Bethany asked.
"They were neglected their basic needs and ignored," Callie added.
"How about Oliver and Olivia?" Bethany asked.
"Never acted like this," Lexi added. "We thought it was a phase."
"Any changes at home?" Bethany asked.
"Our second oldest daughter gave birth to triplets," Callie added. "All of our kids live at home, except two."
"Any upsetting news?" Bethany asked.
"The girl twins birth mom wanted to see them to get to know them and that turned out bad, since she only wanted a kidney," Lexi added.
Bethany jotted things down. "Anything else?"
"Remember Mariana Gutierrez?" Callie asked.
"I remember her. Well she did more stuff to me," Callie added as she filled her in.
"Do the four youngest know?" Bethany asked.
"No," Callie added since she forgot.
"They do," Lexi added. "Remember Palomar Mountain. We all found out Mariana broke out of prison and our four youngest asked us who she was?" Lexi asked.
"I remember. I forgot," Callie added. "We told them what she did to me and all."
"I have a theory," Bethany added. "Bare with me. When did they start to act clingy?"
"Sunday before lunch. We told them we would be taking a date night on Friday," Callie added.
Bethany smiled and jotted more things down. "I see."
"And they started to get clingy after," Lexi added.
"I believe I know what might be wrong. Let's go see the kids," Bethany added.
In the playroom, the four had red eyes from crying as they eyed their mama and mommy and ran to them. Bethany took over.
"Lafayette, Alexandra, Oliver and Olivia. You four know that Mariana can't hurt your mama and mommy anymore right?" Bethany asked as Callie and Lexi's eyes went wide in shock. Then they saw it as their babies burst into tears.
"She can. She did it already and can hurt them again," the four added.
"What if she hurt them again and they die? What would happen to me and Alexandra?" Lafayette asked. "Foster care again?"
