Callie and Lexi eyed Bill torn. "Lafayette and Alexandra have a long lost brother and they are triplets?" Callie asked.
"What's his name?" Lexi asked. "And why wasn't he with them?"
"He was with other family and got lost," Bill added. "He needs a home."
"Any allergies or issues? We have enough to deal with right now with the eight we adopted from the system," Callie added.
"He's allergic," Bill added. "To cats!" he added. "And rodents."
Callie and Lexi sighed. "We can't take him since we aren't foster parents anymore and Olivia has two kittens."
"What else?" Lexi asked.
"He's been in juvie for two years," Bill added.
"Juvie? For what?" Lexi asked.
"His foster father was beating up his foster sister," Bill added. "You are his only chance."
"We can't. Sorry Bill but our other children go first," Callie added.
"Bill we are not the type of parents to give our kids' stuff away to bring in other kids," Lexi added in a sad way. This was not the first time they turned a child away that had siblings they adopted.
He nodded and left and the moms' sigh. "How do we tell Lafayette and Alexandra?" Callie asked.
"Tell us what?" the twin girls' asked as they came downstairs. "Was that Bill we heard?"
"Yes and we need to talk," Lexi added as her voice trailed off.
One hour later, the girls' eyes were wide in shock and their mouths hung open. "We aren't twins?" Lafayette asked.
"We are triplets and have a brother?" Alexandra asked.
"When does he come?" they both asked.
"He doesn't," Callie added in a sad tone.
"What? Why not?" they asked. "He's our brother."
"He's allergic to cats and rodents and was in juvie. He doesn't do well with law enforcement," Lexi added.
"So that's it?" they asked. "He gets dumped somewhere else?"
"We can't take away from your siblings to take him in and where would he sleep?" Callie asked. "We have no other rooms."
"You took in Madeline, Kyle and Kylie?" Lafayette asked.
"They weren't allergic to the pets," Callie added. "This is not the first time we didn't take in foster kids' who were related to kids we adopted."
"Like who?" Lafayette asked.
"Katie, Keith and Kevin," Lexi added. This shut them up. "That's three."
"He was in juvie as well and we need to look out for your safety," Callie said.
"So where is he going?" the girls' asked.
"We don't know," the moms' replied.
"Can you talk to Olivia?" the girls' asked.
"This isn't just about her, Savannah and Samantha have cats too and all the boys have rodents," Callie added. "We aren't getting a fostering license again and we aren't asking your siblings to give up on their pets for one person."
"But moms' he will age out of the system," they added. "He needs us."
"Sorry girls," Lexi added. They sighed and left to their shared room and cried for the brother they never knew they had. "We aren't twins?"
