Daniel eyed his older twin Donovan with a sad expression, but still hugged his brother. Donovan returned the hug. "How are you, Donnie?" Daniel asked. Donovan knew the can of worms he was about to open as he eyed his younger twin.
"Better," he added. Donovan eyed his baby brother of fifteen minutes and sighed. "You are mad?"
"Ashamed," he added. "You have great kids."
"I know," Donovan added. "I need to let them know the truth why I dislike their lifestyle. You need to know the truth too."
"What truth?" Daniel asked concerned.
"About mom," Donovan added. "She ruined our family and dad's," Donovan replied.
"Because she died?" Daniel asked upset. "She died. She wasn't to blame," Daniel added. Their mother Deborah was the best and their dad, Douglas treated her like a Princess.
"She's not dead. She's alive," Donovan added. "She left dad. She left us," Donovan snapped.
"WHAT!? What are you talking about?" Daniel asked upset.
"Dad and I caught mom cheating on him. I caught them first," Donovan added. "Dad second."
"Where was I?" Daniel asked since he thought his twin was lying.
"With grandma and grandpa camping," Donovan added. Daniel remembered that and eyed his twin. "I was sick and could not go last minute."
"Who was he?" Daniel asked. Donovan sighed.
"Charlotte," Donovan added. Daniel's face was in pure shock. Their mom left them all for a woman.
"WHAT?" Daniel asked. "She left us for a woman?"
"Yup. Not any woman, but our nanny," Donovan added. Daniel was shocked and took a seat.
"What happened after?" Daniel asked still hurt.
"Mom and dad got a divorce under the table and she signed her rights away to us," Donovan added. "She never wanted to keep us."
"I can't believe this," Daniel added.
"And when we were ten she tried to get spousal support and dad did not want that, so the reason of the divorce came public and she was denied the support and did not get a dime of his money."
"What gall," Daniel added.
"There's more," Donovan added. "She was pregnant with twins and tried to pass them off as dad's."
"Where they?" Daniel asked.
"No since they tested DNA," Donovan added. "Then Destiny and Delilah found out the truth."
"And?" Daniel asked of their older sisters of five years.
"They wanted nothing to do with her, but they weren't bitter with her, like I was," Donovan added.
"Well you caught them," Daniel replied. "You need to tell your kids."
"I know, but don't know how," he added. "I will find a way."
A few days later, Drake and Deanna went to find their dad at the restaurant and they both were urged by the loves of their lives to go and hear him out.
At the restaurant, "So what's up?" Drake asked.
"Yeah?" Deanna asked of her dad.
"After a lot of thinking I need to tell the two of you the truth why I was upset with you two for being with the same sex," he added. "It's a long story."
