Callie and Lexi sighed as they smiled as they remembered when they were told that they were chosen to adopt Oliver and Olivia. "Remember when they picked us to be the twins parents?" Callie asked as Lexi nodded. "I cried for days."
"I remember the night I came home to find you in tears and you later told me by placing the two high chairs out," Lexi added.
"I remember the day they were born. Worst car jam ever. I thought she had to deliver in my car," Callie added as she remembered how the twins' birth mother was in the back and Oliver's head was coming out. Callie ran ever red light.
"I cried when they were both born and became ours," Lexi added as she cut both cords and snapped lots of pictures of the newest Adams Foster children.
Callie nodded and sighed. "I remember the twin girls and the first day I met them. They grabbed at my heart, but back then we weren't thinking about adoption."
"Nope, but we fell for them hard," Lexi added as she remembered the first Christmas. "I just feel bad Oliver and Olivia thought they were being replaced."
"Me too," Callie added. "Two new kids and all."
"What about Benjamin and Leticia?" Lexi asked. "That was so bad as I found these scared twins in a basement and I felt I knew them."
"Yup and when the DNA came out I felt numb," Callie added. "We had the twins with us since they were born, while your bio babies were in a basement, scared, lonely, hurt and hungry," she added as Lexi nodded. "Because someone wanted money."
"How about Beth and Zack?" Lexi asked. "Your eggs were stolen and put in another woman's body and her rights were taken away."
"I wished she hadn't lost her case because all they went through could have been avoided," Callie said. "How about Leandro and Lilia?" Callie asked.
"Your little savior. She not only saved you, she saved our family. Looking back that should not have been a reason to adopt her," Lexi added.
Callie nodded. "And Leandro? They both went through so much abuse. I just wish they had better parents," Callie said.
"I'm glad they got their justice, but at what price?" Lexi asked.
"How about Kyle and Kylie?" Callie asked of the babies that were created and taken out of her stomach and later sold to the system. "It sucks. I can't trust Doctors I don't know."
"I wish we would have known who they were back then?" Lexi asked. "But back then we had no room since the twins were still living with us," Lexi added.
"But we would have made it work," Callie added. "The shooting would have been avoided."
Lexi closed her eyes as she remembered the day and how Callie and the youngest twins were shot at. "Then their's Madeline. She wasn't in the system, but the father she thought was her father murdered her two older brothers' and robbed us of getting to know our sons that had our DNA," Lexi said.
"At least we have Anna and Ruth's kids and we are grandmother's again to eight new babies," Callie said. Lexi nodded.
"How about the first time we adopted?" Lexi asked. "Our Quads."
"Our four Jays," Callie said as Lexi smiled. "They will always be our first we chose to adopt."
"True," Lexi added. "And their antics were epic."
"I forget how many times they had to use the naughty chair in my office," Callie added. "Natalie was also a frequent user."
"I swear my DNA was used with her as well. She gave me gray hairs and she was over my knees more compared to all our kids combined," Lexi added. Callie nodded.
