IF ONE THING WAS FOR CERTAIN, Claire Moore was one of Camp Half-Blood's best archers. She herself would find it funny, as she couldn't even hold a bow up straight when she just started. It taught her a valuable lesson that being a child of Apollo doesn't mean you were good at everything he stood for. But for Claire, she wished that she had the gift of archery, to begin with. It would have been much better than what she was given.

PHOTOKINESIS is the mental and/or physical ability to control light. To a greater extent, one could become invisible, concentrate light particles into lasers, and manipulate any part of the light spectrum (ultraviolet, infrared, etc.)

CLAIRE MOORE WAS A DEMIGOD. Yeah, don't believe her? Makes sense. It isn't every day you meet the daughter of a Greek God—a narcissistic god of the sun, archery, poetry, plague, arts, music, medicine ... yeah, it's a lot. Most children of Apollo are either amazing at archery, medicine or music, there is really no in between. (Which is thankful, for Claire couldn't imagine what the camp would be like if there was a demigod that could control the plague).

Except for Claire Moore. You always have to have that one exception, and Claire was it. She was good at medicine, sure, and she was good at archery (but that was because she worked so fricken hard at it!), and she could sing and play multiple instruments—okay, she can do a lot, don't come at her! But on a lonely night in Miami, when her mother left her for dead and ran off with her younger brother, her father came across her and—thinking he was doing her some good—warmed up the little six-year-old in the cold night with a new power! Claire was given photokinesis, a power where she could manipulate the very light around her. As she grew, it became more powerful, and the more powerful it got, the more she absolutely hated it.

She didn't understand the point. Most parents would give their freezing child a warm blanket or a cuddle, but no. Her father gave her a power not seen in centuries in a demigod, and only thought able to control by Apollo himself. Merry Christmas! Claire wanted to know the purpose. Why someone like her was given it. She really wasn't anything special.

It seems that new boy, Percy Jackson might be the answer. The 'Minotaur Slayer' of her dreams finally came to camp.

And he knows nothing.

Great, just great.

a/n: don't kill me!!! for one, I absolutely LOVE Percabeth. They're my OTP, and I really wanted to do an AU of them but then I reread the LT and I got up to the bit when Percy and Annabeth are like 'forget it, you're impossible' / 'you're insufferable' and I thought of this!! SO YAH! Deal with it.
