I leaned back in my chair as Mia sat next to me reading a book she'd brought along. I just smiled as I watched Brian work on taking apart the car. I'd been thinking about telling him and I was finally ready. It'd only taken six hours of mentally preparing myself but I was going to do it. I smiled as I looked down at him,
"Brian."

"Hm?" He mumbled as he looked up at me.

"I have something I need to tell you." I said, out of the corner of my eye I saw Mia stop reading and look over at me.

I opened my mouth to finally tell him but was cut off.
"God Damn, what a mess."

Brian quickly stood up and moved in front of me. Vince walked into the garage and I saw Brian's body tense. I reached out and grabbed his hand, rubbing my thumb across his knuckles as he asked,
"Where you been, man?"

Vince walked in front of the car as he glared at Brian,
"You better check that tone."

Brian's muscles flexed as he grew more suspicious and angry,
"And you just better answer the goddamn question."

I quickly stood up from my chair and walked in front of Brian. I placed my hands on his chest as I narrowed my eyes at Vince,
"Stop it. Both of you."

Mia stood up and crossed her arms, obviously preparing herself for the slew of shit Vince was about to say. Dom stood up in front of Vince,
"Where were you Vince?"

Brian continued stare ahead at the two of them as I let my hands fall from his chest.

"Guys all over the favelas asking about you. Couldn't get out of there without leading them straight to you. Had to wait 'em out." Vince said, I didn't believe that.

Brian laughed disbelievingly,
"That's bullshit. That was your job, and those were your guys!"

Brian angrily came at Vince as Vince yelled. Dom shoved Vince back and screamed,
"That's enough O'Conner! If he said he didn't do it, he didn't do it."

Then my fucking hormones kicked in.

The tears were streaming down my face before I could even stop them. I let out a choked sob, causing everyone to turn towards me. Mia stepped closer to me and placed a hand on my back, knowing that I wasn't in control of my emotions.

"Soph-" Brian started but I ignored him and hurried back towards my room.

Mia quickly followed after me and locked the door behind her as I sat on the worn mattress and began to bawl my eyes out. I really hated crying, but with all of the emotional stress I've been under, plus my hormones were wack, I figured it was okay to cry now. Mia sat behind me and rubbed circles on my back as she tried to calm me down.
