Eyeing the path back to reality, I close my notebook.

The hard cover is pressing against me, the clammy texture causing it to shake and tremor as goosebumps mask my skin. I worry about returning, but I know that it's the right thing to do.

I force myself to stand up, brushing the dirt and debris from my legs as I gather my things. I feel temporarily refreshed and rejuvenated, my head clear as I protectively bring my notebook back to my side. I turn to face the path, inhaling and exhaling slowly before hiking the way back up.

The walk back is peaceful, my mind drifting off to a world of euphoria as my thoughts were cleared.
