Clarke was asleep when he found his way back to the room, he was glad. He had to calm down, after what Lexa had told him he didn't know if he could trust himself not to explode and tell Clarke everything on the spot.

He couldn't tell her yet, she was sick, this would just be a setback on her health and he wouldn't let that happen.

He walked towards the open window and put his hands on the cool stone that outlined it. Looking out at the village covered in snow, he got emotional. He loved this place, the friends he had made, the way of life, and of course his new family, but most of all his wife.

She made him a better person just by being there, she didn't have to say or do anything, his day was always better just because she was there. He didn't want to be separated from that bit of happiness that he had encountered, but he also owed Lexa for all that she had done for him.

He always stayed true to his word, and he swore to be loyal and be the commanders second until death said otherwise, but back then he never knew that he could love someone so much that you would trade everything you had for them. And that's what he would do for Clarke.

As the snow fell he had more time to think, the next 24 hours were going to be hard on him and he had no idea when he was going to tell Clarke about Lexa's proposal.

When a small gust of wind flew through the window and into the room, Bellamy immediately heard Clarke shiver. Had she been doing that ever since he had been back? Had he not noticed it?

The sound of her teeth chattering in her sleep made him close the window automatically, he didn't think, he just did it and made his way towards her.

When he was in her line of sight, her eyes suddenly fluttered open, the paleness of her cheeks making her eyes sparkle bright blue.

"Hey," she whispered as she turned onto her side with struggle.

"Hey, how are you feeling?"

She smiled lightly. "Fine, my mother said that i should be able to go back to work tomorrow or the day after." Bellamy gave her a stern look showing that he disapproved. "Come on Bell, I can't stay in here for the rest of the flu season."

He laid next to her. "Or you could..." his mind wandering, knowing that he probably would be more than 100 miles away from her in less than two days.

"Hey," Clarke said as she touched his face, "what's on your mind? You look troubled."

Bellamy thought for a moment, before making his decision. He had to tell her, they didn't lie or withhold information from each other and he wasn't going to start now.

"Clarke, i need to tell you something.."

She sat up, understanding that what he needed to talk about was serious. Her body ached from vomiting, but that didn't stop her from reaching out to him.

"Tell me." He sat up too and took her hands in his.

"The thing that Lexa wanted to talk about. . . She- uh. . ."

Clarke gave his hand a squeeze. "You can tell me, Bellamy."

He nodded. "Lexa wants me to go back to Polis so that i can be her second again. After Jones died, she needs me back."

A stared at him wide eyed for a few moments, her mouth agape as she let his words sink in. "A-are you going to go?"

"I don't really have a choice, Clarke, it's either that or i get my title as second removed completely." Clarke stared into his eyes, she was sure that he could see a tear form because his face softened as he went on. "She said i can visit you whenever i want or--"
