???- Tic toc Aaron. The next death will be soon!

Aaron's POV

I just sat in Melissa's room all night, looking at pictures from when we were younger.

"Aaron! Are you going to school or not?!" A voice yelled from downstairs, and I knew it must be dad.

I know my parents are silently grieving Melissa's death.

What's worse is that they still don't know about Aphmau's death.

For some odd reason I started thinking of Melissa's rebelious teenage stage.

«Flashback»

"Melissa! Get back here right now!" Dad shouted as Melissa stole his car and drove away.

She had come home late at night and had snuck in through my window.

"Melissa?" I asked as she shook me awake, "where were you?"

"A party." She said simply.

It was then that I noticed that she had deep purple streaks in her hair.

"And you dyed your own hair?" I asked.

"Yes. Now pay attention." She said, "are mom and dad here?"

"Yup. Why?" I asked.

"I might've wrecked dad's car and gotten it towed." She replied.

"WHAT?! Dad's gonna KILL you!" I exclaimed and she slapped her hand over my mouth and motioned for me to be quiet.

"He's not gonna know. If he asks, tell him I didn't come home but he shouldn't worry because I can take care of myself." Melissa replied.

"You mean, LIE to him?" I asked in shock.

"Yes."

"Alright, but you owe me."

"THANKS lil bro! I knew I could count on you!"

"Whatever."

«Flashback End»

"Aaron?" My mom's voice called from the bottom of the stairs, "I'm coming up there."

"I'm coming!" I yelled and hurried to get ready for school.

I ran down the stairs past mom and towards the front door to leave.

"Aaron?" My dad asked, "what's this? I diary?"

I turned to see dad holding up a small book.

"It's Aphmau's diary." I muttered.

"Your friend from when you were little? She's back?" He asked.

"She WAS back. She's dead now." I mumbled.

"What?! How?!" Dad asked as his eyes went wide.

"She was murdered by her own father, Zach Phoenix." I said.

"When did this happen? And why were you counted absent for a whole month?" Dad asked.

"That's the month she died."

"Oh." Was all he could say before I left for school.

I looked at the voice recorder that had fallen out of Aphmau's diary that day at the cafe.
