Chapter 21.

•This chapter is short as hell but I posted two, to make up for it.

Ariel

"Fuck baby I'm so sorry I was busy yesterday." Jaie's voice rang through my ear as I held the phone up to it, half asleep. I nodded even though she couldn't see me, and made a soft 'mhm' sound as I closed my eyes once again and began drifting back off to sleep.

"Don't do that. Really, I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you okay?"

I heard what she was saying, but I never responded as I had drifted back off to sleep.

When I opened my eyes again, it was light outside and the phone had ended up being on the floor. I yawned and got up, picking it up and placing it on the charger before going downstairs, seeing Cam walk through the door.

"Perfect timing!" She laughed as she placed her key in her pocket.

"Hey love." I smiled while placing my hands in my hair, yawning and pulling at my curls.

"How was your birthday?"

"It was another normal day." I laughed, and she frowned.

"You didn't do anything?"

"Nope."

"You should've told me. I thought you said you had plans with Jaie. I would've taken you out to have some fun."

"It's okay Cam, really." I smiled and sat on the couch. She sat next to me and sighed.

"Why didn't you and Jaie go somewhere like you said you would be?"

"I guess she was busy. We didn't really talk at all."

"And Jo?"

"Jo disappeared."

"Well what the fuck?"

I shrugged and leaned back, half smiling.

"I had mentioned that I needed time because of Jaie. And like, yeah. I mean I'm not stressing it. I didn't even think I was ready for a relationship anyways, but I was going to try with her. I just needed to figure some things out you know? I don't know what the future holds though, so I guess I'll just wait and see." I said while yawning and rubbing my eyes again.

"Well, lets make up for your birthday! Come on let's go somewhere!" She cheered, and I tilted my head to the side.

"Where?"

"Just get ready!"

I nodded and got up, walking upstairs and into my room. I raised my arms in the air and stretched while walking over to my closet, but I stopped and turned around once I heard my phone go off. I walked over to it and seen that Kyla had texted me a few times.

Kyla: Hey baby! Morning! Sorry I wasn't here and didn't come see you yesterday. I was really busy and then my girl had taken me out somewhere. I'll make up for it I promise! I have a birthday paragraph for youuu! I'll send it tonight.

Kyla: i hope your day was great!

Kyla: I'll talk to you tonight!

Kyla: I love ya!

I smiled and typed "I love you too. 💓" before sending it and placing my phone back down, the proceeding to walk to the closet. I searched through my clothes for what seemed about half an hour before finally deciding on an outfit that I'm not even sure I wanna wear.

I placed it on my bed and walked into my bathroom, stripping out of my clothes and turning on the shower. I looked in the mirror and tied up my hair in a messy bun before stepping into the shower, the hot water making my body instantly relax.
