Color Guard/Band Stuff

One time we were doing our halftime show and after the third song the announcer says "ladies and gentlemen, the Black and Gold Brigade." (Name of our band.) We had one more song to go before our show was over so the band immediately started playing and didn't wait for us to start choreography (and it starts as soon as the band starts playing.) So we have to rush to our spots and end up being late. We also have to walk between band kids and not hit them (shockingly we didn't) and it was just unenjoyable and I was about to start crying but I thought of Jerry and felt better. When we got back to the band room, our band director says "You know what you did wrong, right? You got to your spots late and your hole was closing up. We went over that several times at practice."

And I was so mad and I wanted to explode so much. That was absolutely, 100%, clear-as-day, zero denial or doubt, no hesitation whatsoever, NOT OUR FAULT. The band started playing without us. They didn't wait for us. That's not our fault. Do y'all think it's guard's fault? Or is it band's fault?
