After long hours of flight we are finally here in Australia. Alice unnie and I are currently heading outside the airport
"Unnie will mom and dad gonna pick us up here at the airport?" I curiously asked her
"Unfortunately they can't pick us up. We will just take a cab from here" she replied
I fall in deep thoughts. Am i really welcome here at home? Mom and Dad always makes sure to pick me up at the airport everytime I'm back here at home. They never missed a chance, this is the first time they did.
After a few minute of waiting the cab finally arrived and in less than an hour we reached home.
"Hey! Let's go" unnie said as she went out of the cab
I can't contain my nervousness. I'm still not prepared to see my parents reaction towards me after knowing what my situation is.
Alice unlocked the main door with her own key and we are welcomed by a deafening silence in our home.
"Mom? Dad? were home!" Alice called but there is no response
"So they are not at home yet? I guess they dadi is still at work but where is mom" I said while trying to hold back my tears
"Hey don't think about it to much, maybe she just went somewhere important Let's just go upstairs so you can rest on your room" Unnie said as she pulled my hand and guide me towards the staircase
"How about our bags?!" I asked
"I'll just take it upstairs later" she replied
Unnie walked me until we reach the door of my own room. She opened it with her spare key
We are welcomed by the darkness of my room. The lights were all off and the curtains are down. As if it reflects the situation I'm into.
We slowly enter my room to turn the lights on when suddenly...
"Welcome home Babies!" It was Mom and Dad
The lights went on. Alice walk towards the windows and open the curtains. I saw Dad holding a round cake and Mom holding a bunch of baloons.
"Surprise!" unnie happily said
I was just froze on my feet for a few minutes, my heart feels like it is going to burst and the tears i'm trying to hold back earlier was now freely falling from my eyes.
"Rosie?baby?" Mom called me and that is when I got to make a move.
"Mom...Dad.." I called as I run towards them and hug them tightly.
"Mom, Dad I'm so sorry. I'm really sorry" I felt them tighten their hug for me
"Shhhhh..stop crying baby, please....You don't have to say sorry" she said as we release from our hug
Dad suddenly cupped my face with his one had and caressed it with his thumb.
"It just feel like yesterday. Our baby is now having a baby of her own. I'm gonna be a grandpa soon" he said and planted a kiss on my forehead.
"Thank you so much Mom, Dad and unnie" that is all i can say for now. words are not enough to express how thankful I really am.
I'm relieved that they wholeheartedly accepted me in spite of the disappointment I gave to my group members and my family but at the same time I feel a guilt in my heart. Like do I really deserve all the love and understanding they are giving me. I'am so blessed..really blessed.
"Hey!.Hey!.Hey! Let's stop with all the drama. For sure the baby and Rosie are super hungry now. Mom cooked all your favorites" Alice jokingly said to lighten up the mood
"Yah Unnie!!.you knew all about this?" I realized it just now
"Hahahaha!!. I am a good actress right" unnie said while giving a wink
We went downstairs hand in hand to go to our dining area.
We end the day with all the fun talks and catching up stories like what we usually do. Nothing changes.
