I currently walk through the halls of Beacon Hills high, dreading the fact I'm even here. Derek's reasoning for needing me here is to watch over someone by the name of Jackson Whittemore. I am his eyes and ears of the student body since he can't watch his prey himself without being arrested for trespassing on school grounds.
Apparently, he had bitten this Jackson Whittemore the same night he gave Isaac the choice, who I am also watching in case he speaks to someone about the incidents of last nights events. Even with this being the last thing I wanted, I have to stay true to my word. I made an agreement to help him in exchange of him teaching me to control my blood lust. And I always keep my word.
Heading to the office to grab my first ever schedule, I notice Isaac walking quickly down the halls. His attire for the day shows why he is in such a rush; a red jersey with the number 14 printed in white and a grey shirt underneath it. In his hand held a large stick, meant for the lacrosse sport. I don't know much about the sport, but I know enough to understand what equipment the sport acquires.
I would have never taken him for the sporty type. Although, I should have guessed with his body type he's bound to be in some type of sport or do more than dig graves.
"Isaac!" I shout to catch his attention as I quicken my pace to reach him. He turns around, looking for the person that had yelled his name, and when his eyes finally land on me, they widen a little. Shock covers his face at the physical evidence of seeing me here at the school with him. "I think you almost ran that kid over back there," I joke as he starts walking in a hurry again. His shock didn't take long to recover. He must be very late.
"Why are you here?" He questions me.
"Instructed by Derek to watch a kid named, Jackson Whittemore. Who I don't even know," I answer with distaste.
"Jackson?" He glances over at me with his blue eyes as confusion contorts his face. "Why do you need to watch him?"
"Because Derek turned him recently and needs me to keep a close eye on him." When those words leave my mouth, Isaac became staggered to learn Jackson is to be a werewolf. I figured he would be unaware of this crucial information. However, if Derek can go around informing strangers about our supernatural secrets, then he deserves to know what is happening in this town. If he is to be given a choice, then he deserves to be given all the variables.
"Jackson's on the lacrosse team with me, but be careful, he's an ass. Now, I really have to get to the locker room before coach sees that I'm late," he rushes as he picks up his pace, practically running now.
I don't think he realizes that it's Jackson that will need to be careful around me.

After grabbing my schedule, which I had made almost identical to Isaac's figuring he will come around soon enough to Derek's offer, I went over to watch the lacrosse practice to take a look at Jackson. He isn't bad looking either, in fact, everyone here isn't bad looking. It's like this town is a beacon for male models.
The beginning of the day was a good start. Jackson didn't seem to be much trouble, with his wolf side that is. It's only been two periods and so far he has yelled at more people than I can count on my two hands.
Staying close behind him, we walk into our third period class, which I also have with Isaac. The chemistry lab matches the same size as the other classrooms, though the seating arrangements are not similar. With this class, you have to partner with someone. Preferring to keep my distance from Jackass for his safety, I make my way to the empty seat next to Isaac.
"You don't have to sit next to me in every class you know," he complains as I take the unwelcoming seat.
"Why? Because I bite?" I smirk when he rolls his eyes at my response. He still doesn't know about my own little secret. Derek told him I bite, but he didn't tell his it's because I'm a vampire. He probably thinks I'm a werewolf like Derek, or is contemplating on what other creature could possibly be roaming the earth. I would rather continue not knowing. Not unless he chooses to join Derek and become apart of the pack. The less that know of my existence, the better. I don't mind his company, though.
