"Thank you again," Isaac speaks up after a deafening silent filled trip back to the railroad depot. We sit inside our regular uncomfortable cart across from one another, resting from the complications of tonight's events, "You know, for saving me."

Once Issac was calm enough to leave the premises, we left on foot in a hurry to gain as much distance from the police department as possible. Derek had vacated as well, but not with us. He had to retreat back to Isaac's old home for his precious vehicle, leaving Isaac and I to ourselves and Stiles to handle his father.

We had succeeded in breaking Isaac out of his holding cell and rescuing him from the Argent's assassin, but now he is in another 'holding cell'. Luckily this one doesn't involve a small space and being far from his pack. I'm unsure how long he will be imprisoned here, though. We need to find a way to prove his innocence to the police before he can leave and go back to school.

"It's no big deal." However, in reality, it is a big deal to me. I have never intentionally saved a life before unless it was for my own personal benefits. It's feasible to happen again, but maybe I'm wrong and this is a one time deal. My brother never forced me to be the way I am, but maybe if I didn't try to please him so much and feel obligated to join him in his fun, I would have helped others the way I helped Isaac today.

Looking at Isaac, I can sense he is troubled by the past events that have occurred. And since my comfort towards him last time had been propitious, maybe I can do it again.

"Hey," I start off lightly, placing my hand on his shoulder. "I know a lot has happened in the past three days or so, but it will get better. No one is going to harm you again, I promise. And if someone does, I know you can handle them. You're a big bad wolf." I laugh at my comment and by the amusing look in his eyes and half-smile on his lips, I know what I'm saying is working. "You can handle anything."

We stare into each other's eyes as the silence takes over again. This time it isn't awkward. It's actually quite pleasant. I end up so lost in those beautiful blue eyes of his, that I barely notice Derek walk in to ruin whatever moment I was having with Isaac.

As soon as I saw him, the anger in me emerged to the surface and I quickly storm over to him, punching him with enough force to send him to the ground. Straddling him, I go for the second punch, but he catches my fist in his palm and uses his other hand to grab my left arm, twisting us to place himself on top of me. He holds my arms down above my head but doesn't secure my legs, living them lose enough for me to knee him in the groin and he rolls off of me as he moans in pain.

"Your strength is worthless against my own, Derek. I'm a thousand years old, you will need to do better than that!" I yell as I watch him struggle to stand back up. "I don't even know why Kol would trust someone like you, considering you leave me in the dark about this damn town after asking me to contribute to your pack. You're pathetic. The fact you have to use kids to help you in your battles makes you weak."

Derek then lunges at me, not understanding the fact that I'm quicker and stronger than him. Before he can touch me, I wrap my hand around his neck, slamming him against one of the steel beams and prepared my other hand to rip out his heart. My fingers were only a centimeter into his chest when I hear Isaac yelling for me to stop. Halting my actions, I peek over at him and a look of panic is covering his face.

Retracting my fingers from Derek's chest, I move away from him and his body sinks to the ground as it works to heal the wound I've left behind. I wanted so badly to hold his heart in my hands and watch the life drain from his eyes. He should be fortunate that Isaac was here to stop me.

"Let this just be a warning to you, Derek. I don't like secrets, and I sure as hell don't like being taken advantage of. So spill. What are you not telling me?" I demand harshly.
