Mikey's Pain and Sorrow.....Leo's Comfort and Understanding

Mikey's POV

I didn't want them to know. I didn't meant to. I ran out of the lair before they could say anything.

Their facial expressions.....I'll never forget them. Master Splinter and Donnie upset, Raph worried, and Leo....He was concerned and afraid.

But.......He also had this look in his eyes that I couldn't figure out. When I looked at him......It felt like he understood what I did and why I did it.

Breathing hard, I sprinted down the tunnels of the sewers, looking for my secret place. It was the old drainage junction. No one would think to find me there.

As I was looking for it, I heard running feet coming after me. Looking behind me, I saw concerned sapphire blue eyes looking at me. Leo.

I ran faster, pumping my legs as fast as they could go. Without realizing it, the exhaustion in my legs from sprinting is catching up with my brain, making me trip and fall on my hands and knees.

I stayed there, panting heavily, as I heard footsteps slow to a stop next to me. I looked up as I felt Leo lay his hand on my shoulder.

That look in his eyes is there, again. I tilted my head in confusion. He must've noticed because he smiled and pulled me in for a hug.

I hugged him back, tears streaming down my face in rivers. Why does he all of a sudden care for me? Why now, of all times?

Leo pulled back enough to wipe my face of the tears. I sniffled as he kissed my forehead and grabbed my shoulders, gently. I gave him my attention.

"Dono yō ni anata wa kanjite iru, otouto?" He asked me, smiling gently (translations will be at the bottom and I'm sorry if I got it wrong).

My eyes widened, but I hugged him, again, and responded. "Gomen'nasai, Reo....." Leo pulled me into a hug and kissed the top of my head.

I don't know how he can be so calm with what I did.... "Shazai suru hitsuyō wana, maikī." The tears came full blast this time. How can he forgive me so easily?

Leo's POV

I'm worried for Mikey, but I understand why he did it. He feels responsible for our injuries that we receive on missions and patrols and he tries to keep us happy all the time.

I rub Mikey's back and rest my hands on his arms as he pulls away, rubbing his tear-filled eyes.

"Do you wanna see something, Lil' Mikey?" I ask him, using the nickname he loved. I saw Mikey smile and nod.

I took a deep breath and started undoing my wrist wraps. I closed my eyes as I heard the gasp from Mikey and let the wraps fall to the sewer floor.

The red marks on my wrists were still fresh and I know he saw them.

I felt his hands gently take mine. I looked up and saw concern in his baby blue eyes. "Leo...Why?" Mikey asked.

I breathed out, a little shakily, and said, "With everything we go through, the Foot Clan, Shredder, my responsibility as leader, and Raph-..."

I pause and breathe deeply, trying to keep the tears at bay. "Wait, what do you mean Raph? Is he being mean to you, too?"

My head snapped up as I heard Mikey say that, my eyes wide. "Mikey...Has Raph been hurting you?" I ask him.

I saw Mikey tense and watched as he struggled to keep himself together. I relaxed and smiled as I told him, "Don't worry. We'll get through this together."

Mikey relaxed and smiled, hugging me. I hugged back, but hissed as my wrists touched his shell.

Mikey seemed to have noticed why I hissed because the next thing I knew, Mikey was wrapping my wrists with new, clean bandages.

I felt relief in feeling the wraps around my wrists. I sighed, took the wraps, and wrapped Mikey's wrists.

"Arigatō, Reo." I hummed and smiled. "Watashi wa anata o aishiteimasu, maikī." I told him.

Mikey beamed and said, "Watashi mo anata o aishiteimasu, Reo." I gave Mikey a hug and stood up, offering him a hand.

He took it and I pulled him to his feet. "Let's go home, Lil' Mikey." I wrapped my arm around his shoulders and felt him rest his head on my shoulder.

I'm sorry I haven't updated in like forever dudes and dudettes. I've just been dealing with some shit at home and with school everything is just complicated nowadays. So anyway, I hope you liked it.
