The next morning, Celestine woke up early. She sat in her bed for a few minutes, thoughts running wild in her mind. She was getting married. Getting married to guy she had never talked to, nonetheless. She wasn't quite sure how Mayrse talked her into it. She was having second thoughts but decided it was to late to say anything. She was getting married in 2 hours for heaven's sake! At exactly 6:30 am.
She finally sighed, told herself to suck it up. She got up and went to get dressed. She thought of the smile on Mayrse's face when she came. A businessman's smile. This is what she wanted. A marriage. Not to help an old friend's daughter.
Not wanting to let her nerves get better of her, she shook her head and cleared her thoughts. She bathed, dressed, did her makeup and hair and everything. She was ready with just 15 minutes to spare.
She was looking at herself in the mirror. Her dress was not particularly heavy looking like Mayrse had said. But it was elegant and graceful. She smiled. At least she looked like the princess she wanted to look like on her wedding.

When she had just 10 minutes to spare, the purple entrance appeared in the same place as yesterday and the doors opened to reveal Mayrse.
Mayrse greeted her with open arms. "If this is your design then honestly speaking, we have been calling the wrong people designers. You look like an angel." She said. "Are you ready?"
Celestine nodded. "I am."
"Perfect. Come with me then, we will get you married." Mayrse said giving Celestine her hand.
Celestine entered the purple entrance which she came to know was a portal along with Mayrse.
She observed her surrounding which was a very white room. With not much in it.
"Well, now you walk up to your husband to be on your own." Mayrse told her. "You must go and take him. No one can take you to him."
Celestine looked up to see one of the most good looking men she had every seen. He was a Greek god. Forgot one of the most good looking, the Raven haired guy in front of her was the best looking. She walked up to him hoping that she was not stupidly blushing.
She walked up to him and stood in front of him. She was quite creeped out by the Silent Brother with his eyes and mouth sewed shut. She'd hate it if someone did that to her.
Turns out, shadowhunter wedding are different as compared to mundane ones. Celestine put a bracelet on Alec's wrist and he put a necklace on her neck.
The pair then had to draw a marriage rune on each other and take the oath which would bind their souls.
After they had drawn the rune and taken the oath the Silent Brother declared them we'd. The two simply stated at each other blankly while he took his leave.
Mayrse walked over to them. "You two did the right thing. Now go along, right through the portal and get to know each other. Change out of your clothes, I believe you don't want to stay in these. Celestine, I assume the tailor used runes for this dress?"
"He did." She nodded.
"Do you remember them?" Mayrse asked. Celestine nodded that she did.
"Well, as per the ancient tradition of Lightwoods, since this was a private, arranged marriage with next to no witnesses and not even the whole family present, you will have to dress up extravagantly for the first year of your marriage. Change during training and missions, of course." She said. "But yes. And if you get into habit, then by all means, continue after that one year as well."
Celestine's eyes widened as she didn't know what to say. "Of course Mayrse."
"Get as much jewellery as you like. All the Lightwood heirlooms are yours." She told her. "Get new ones, buy them, use the runes if you have designs. Do whatever. Off you two go. But remember, Celestine, dress well. And Alec, wear something nicer than usual today. You got married. Remember that."
