Joker lay in bed staring at the ceiling Harley laying on his chest. They were both wide awake but both silent. Joker squeezed Harley gently and she cuddled into him further.
"We'll find her Harley, frost is already looking for her with the rest of the men. We will kill who ever did this baby I promise you." Harley sat up and looked him in the eye.
"And what if your men can't find her? What if no one can find Lucy?" Harley's eyes began to water. Joker sighed and gritted his teeth before picking up the phone. Harley looked at him confused.
"I need your help. I would never do this but.... my daughters gone. Meet me at the docks in ten minutes." Joker got out of bed and threw his clothes on.
"Coming?" Joker said and Harley jumped up and got dressed. She had no idea who they were meeting she just hoped they could help.

Harley had her coat wrapped around her trying to shield herself from the harsh wind. Joker saw how cold she was and put his arm around her.
"Joker." Harley turned around to face the gruff voice behind her.
"Bats?" Harley said in confusion.
"Desperate times harls." Joker said and Harley looked up at the man who towered before her. She didn't know who intimidated her more, her abusive boyfriend or the caped crusader.
"You called?" Batman said his voice stern.
"Lucy's gone. I've tried Penguin, two face, riddler and any other criminal in this city. No one knows anything. I had no one else to turn to." Batman grunted and went to walk away.
"Please." Joker said his voice full of defeat. The dark knight froze for a moment before turning around.
"I can't believe I'm doing this." He muttered to himself heading towards the two in front of him. "So what happened?" Between them  Joker and Harley told batman everything.

Harley was pulled into jokers chest the tears rolling down her face.
"It's all my fault. I couldn't take care of her. Please find her." Harley begged the dark knight while clutching Jokers chest.
"It's all my fault" Harley muttered into his chest. She felt her chest go tight and her head began to spin. She looked up at joker and black creeped into her vision.
"Help." She whispered as she felt herself sway.
"Baby?" Before she could respond Harley collapsed into him. Joker wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tightly.
"Please wake up baby!" He tried to hold back his tears refusing to cry in front of the bat.
"Move." Batman instructed Joker and he lay Harley on the dock. Batman grabbed her wrist and checked for a pulse. He could feel her heart racing.
"Take her home and lay her in bed she should be fine. I think she just had a panic attack and blacked out." Joker hated taking orders especially from the bat but he nodded and put Harley in the car.
"I'll let you know if I hear anything about Lucy. I'll do what I can." Joker turned to thank him but he was gone. Joker got in the car and drove home.

Harley woke up laying in bed with Joker sat next to her.
"You had a panic attack and passed out. You need to stay calm baby." He said planting a gentle kiss on her forehead. "I'm going for a shower if you need me just shout ok?" Harley nodded and watched him walk away. She sighed and opened her phone looking at the pictures of Lucy. She looked at ones from when she was born and it was only then Harley realised how much she had grown. Harley couldn't help but smile when she saw a picture of Lucy smiling for the first time. The sparkle in her eyes was so pure. She lay there for about ten minutes before Joker came back in a towel around his waist and his hair still damp.
"You ok pumpkin?" He asked rubbing his hair with a small towel. Harley nodded and tried to swallow the lump in her throat.
"It's all my fault." She whispered tears welling up in her eyes again. Joker sighed and rolled his eyes.
"How many times have I told you harls it's not your fault!" He couldn't help but get annoyed at her. How could she say it was her fault, if anything he blamed himself he should of been at home. Harley's tears began to fall.
"It is though I could of protected her." Joker felt his blood boil.
"Enough!" He said through gritted teeth trying to stay as calm as he could. He began to get dressed putting his boxers and trousers on before Harley spoke again.
"Do you have any idea how I feel? A mother is supposed to protect her daughter! I let her get taken away." Joker turned to see Harley stood behind him and before he thought about what he was doing he backhanded her. Luckily he didn't have his rings on but even so Harley's cheek went bright red instantly.
"And how do you think I feel? If I hadn't of gone out she would still be here! I'm her father if anything it's the dads job to make sure no one hurts his little girl. And you constantly crying about it being your fault doesn't fucking help!" Harley froze. He hadn't snapped at her like that for weeks. She thought he was changing. She bit her tongue and stormed out. Joker sighed and went after her.
"Baby." Nothing she just kept walking.
"Harley!" He called after her but she just stormed down the stairs.
"Harleen Frances Quinzel! Will you listen to me!" Harley turned around slowly adrenaline pumping through her veins.
"Don't you dare call me that! I threw all of that away for you! For us! If I was still Harleen I would still be working at Arkham! You would still be there! And we wouldn't have a daughter!" Harley said fuming.
"And we might not have a daughter anymore!" As soon as the words left his lips Joker realised his mistake. Harley gritted her teeth and turned to leave.
"Baby. I didn't mean it." Joker followed her out to the car. "Harley don't go." He pleaded but she blanked him and started the engine.
"Harley!" She looked at him tears in her eyes and she drove away. Joker ran his hands through his hair before slamming his fist into the brick wall behind him.
'What have I done?' He thought to himself as he went back inside.

Harley sped down the road. She didn't have a clue where she was going and she didn't care. She pulled over at the side of the road and began to cry. She was in the darker side to Gotham. There were abandoned buildings all around her. Amongst her cries she could hear a baby crying as well. It was coming from the building next to her. It was an old block of flats, the walls were grey and dull, the paint peeling and it looked like it could come crashing down at any minute.
She looked up and saw a man cradling a Baby next to a smashed window. He looked down at Harley, clutched the baby and ran. Harley got out her phone and called the joker.
She told him where she was and he was there within ten minutes.
"I don't think it was Lucy but maybe if he does this kidnapping thing a lot maybe he knows where she is." Harley said as she stepped out the car.
"I'm sorry about what I said harls. I love you." Joker tried to apologise but Harley was still too angry. She walked into the building not responding to his apology. She couldn't believe the inside looked worse than the outside. There where no carpets no wallpaper nothing. It was stripped down to the bone. The concrete walls making her footsteps echo.
She pulled the knife out she had tucked into her shorts and waved it around.
"I know you're here!" She shouted and it echoed all through the building. She felt a bang on the back of her head. She put her hand on her head and pulled it back covered in blood. She turned to see Joker holding a bit of rubble.
"I'm sorry baby." Was all she heard before she blacked out again.
