Chapter 7

The next morning nicki woke up with drakes arms wrapped around her. She snuggled a little closer to him as they lay there.

Drake: morning sleeping beauty

She smiled slightly before replying.

Nicki: morning babe

Drake: sleep well

He placed a kiss in the crook of her neck as he brought her closer to him.

Nicki: yeah

Drake: good. What time is your flight today

Nicki: 3

Drake: that gives us a few hours then.

Nicki: yeah. Every minute counts

Drake: well I've just got to go and sign for an order that's arriving this morning but after that I'm all yours.

Nicki: okay.

She let her hand find his and interlock their fingers. Although it was just early stages both of them could tell it would last for a lot longer.

Nicki had just arrived back home after the flight from Toronto and drive home. She was feeling pretty jet lagged but knew she had to sort out her stuff for work tomorrow. As she settled down she received a phone call from Lauren.

Lauren: hey boo

Nicki: hey how are you

Lauren: good thanks and yourself

Nicki: I good.

Lauren: so how was Toronto. I heard you guys just got back

Nicki: yeah. It was really good. We just spent most of the time getting to know each other more and he showed me around

Lauren: aww. Is he still the guy we met at the restaurant

Nicki: he's even better. I just don't know what it is about him but he just makes you want to be around him

Lauren: aw. He just seems like the kind that would be loving and caring

Nicki: but it's like why didn't I meet him earlier.

Lauren: who knows but all that matters is that you're together now

Nicki: very true. So how was your business trip

Lauren: not too bad actually. It was a great experience

Nicki: really what did you do there

It was now lunchtime and nicki was on her way to the staff room when she bumped into Viola on her way. The shared a short conversation on their way to the staff room. When they got in they found a pink rose on the table that they usually sat with a note attached.

Sherika: that is for you

Nicki picked up the rose as read the little note attached.

I miss you already. Come back :( I'll see you in a weeks time ;)

Nicki smiled at the note before just admiring the rose. She had last spoke to him last night after her phone call with Lauren. He had deliveries to sign for on the Tuesday so he was arriving Monday night.

Viola: so what did you get up to then on Canada. You seem very quiet

Nicki: nothing much

She smiled to herself.
