Resurrection Z

The group stopped on the side of the road. They all sit around and wait for Murphy to finish his business.

"No z's in sight." Mack says walking round the truck

"Anybody else worried about Mr. Sunshine out there?" Doc asks as he leans on the bed of the truck

"I know. He's looking worse." Garnet agrees

"Yeah, he was pretty creepy to start with." Warren says

"Come on, guys. Give him a break. It's the Apocalypse. None of us look our best. It's like one long bad hair day." Addy says

"That lasts forever in his case." Ace grumbles jokingly

"Speaking of hair, what's with all the bald patches?" Mack says

"Maybe that vaccine is like zombie chemo." Cassandra says

"Or maybe that vaccine isn't working." 10k says at the same time as Ace

They look at each other and blush. Addy looks back at them and smirks.

Murphy looks back at the group and sees them staring. Some of them look away.

"What do you think Doc?" Garnett asks

"I've seen z's look better than him." He responds

"Will he make it to California?" Garnett asks

"If we haul ass,"

"If he goes zombie, we might have to put him down." Garnett says as he taps his chin

"Dibs." Ace and Warren say but Ace says faster

"I said it first." Ace says

Warren looks to her and rolls her eyes. 

"If he turns, piking him's the least of our problems." Garnett says

Murphy turns around to see everyone starting at him.

"What?"

"Pit stop's over. Let's get moving." Garnett says

"I have a ginormous bladder. Sue me." Murphy grumbles

Ace climbs into the top of the truck and 10k stands in the bed. Mack and Addy sit in the bed as everyone else climbs into the truck.

Warren start the car and they drive down the endless looking road.

As they drive, they pass a z holding another z's head. Ace shoots the head with her slingshot as 10k shoots the full z.

"One thousand five hundred and fifty four." 10k says out loud.

The group pulls up to a gate of a small community.

"Surrender all weapons? Are they serious?" 10k asks

"Looks like." Mack says

"I'll wait outside if that's the case," Ace says

"No you won't." Addy says laughing lightly

The truck moves towards the gate and three people run out and point guns at them.

Ace takes out her ar14 and aims it at them. 10k makes her lower her gun until Garnett gets out of the car.

The woman goes inside and another man comes outside. They talk about their past and they let them in.

Warren, Mack, Addy, Doc, Cassandra and Garnett hand in their weapons. 10k is next and then Ace. She is complaining about handing in her weapons.
