Author's POV
Malfoy sat in the common room with Pansy. If you haven't caught on or guessed, than yes.
They're together. Now Draco only did it for show, and Pansy is doing it for.. Well, let's say other reasons. (Please don't with the 'jokes')
They both hated it. They hated each other, and even the thought of being together made them disturbed. They were chatting, being a 'normal' couple. No matter how many times people said that they were cute and lovely, Malfoy kept his mind on one person, and one person alone. He'd get lost in thought during a conversation with Pansy, only to realize he's been staring at Pansy and she's yelling at him.
Pug faced, snobby brat, always coming to ruin my day.
Meanwhile..
Granger sat in the library, with her nose deep into a large book titled 'Hogwarts: A History'. She didn't notice a tall figure sit next to her.
"Granger"
"Zabini"
"I have to tell you, nothing shall getting in the way of it"
"Alright, Zabini. Excite me with this information"
"Malfoy very much enjoys your presence"
"He doesn't act like it"
"That's just him. Trust me, if you were in my position, you'd know more about how he wants to play with your hair than Snape's liking of being rude to Potter"
Hermione looked at him, confused. "Yeah, okay, but what do you mean by 'he enjoys my presence', Zabini?" Blaise stifled a laugh.
"I thought you were a intelligent girl, Granger,"
"What makes you think that?"
"Isn't it clear? He likes you."
The Gryffindor stared at him in shock, then turned her head away to hide the very obvious reddening of her face.
"B-but, he's with Parkinson. Isn't h-he?"
There was a few moments of silence and intense staring (#Awkward), until the Slytherin smirked and left.
Bloody hell! There must be more to this.. Hermione thought, before it was her turn to leave.
