"You can see him now." Marshall's mother popped her head around the door to Zuma's room.

Despite his crutches and now cast leg, Rocky tried his absolute hardest to get to his boyfriend first. His friends let him go first and followed him inside. As soon as Skye saw Zuma's state, she ran to the bathroom, sickened by what happened to him.

Both his eyes were badly bruised and swollen, his lip cut and most of his upper body appeared to be black with bruises.

"He's asleep at the moment." The nurse explained. "We're waiting for his X-rays to come through." She left the room and four of their friends followed, leaving the couple alone. Rocky sat down and just stared blankly at Zuma, horrified by his injuries.

"Zuma I'm so sorry." He cried, clutching his hand. There was a few minutes of silence before Zuma groaned.

"Zum?" Rocky looked at him.

"Wocky? I-is that you?" Rocky was heartbroken, his love couldn't even recognise his voice.

"Yes baby it's me." He stroked his hair. Zuma still hadn't opened his eyes.

"Wocky, I-I can't open my eyes. I can't see." Zuma's breathing increased in panic and if he could, he would've cried. Rocky managed to sit up on the bed next to him and pulled Zuma into a hug, his head resting on his chest. Rocky ran his fingers through the brunettes hair in an attempt to soothe him.

"Shhh. It's ok Zuma. I'm here. I'm not gonna leave you." Zuma's grip tightened around Rocky's torso.

"Wocky. I'm s-scawed. It's like they wanted us dead."

"They aren't gonna hurt us. Come on you're ok. I've got you." Rocky continued to comfort Zuma. "Come on, you need your rest." He lay down next to Zuma and held him close, giving him a sense of protection.

After a few minutes, Chase walked in and saw the pair cuddled together on the hospital bed. It reminded him of Skye and himself a few weeks prior.

"Your dad's on his way with some of your stuff." He said quietly to Rocky.

"Ok. Is Skye going home?"

"Yeah. I don't think she wants to see you two in this state. She actually threw up when she saw Zuma."

"Ok."

"She said don't take it personally she just didn't want to see you this badly beat up."

"Tell her it's fine, I'll see her tomorrow. Ask her to look after Rivet for me. He doesn't like to sleep alone."

Chase nodded and left the two in peace. Rocky looked down at Zuma and leaned in, kissing him softly. Zuma tried to kiss back but winced in pain.

"Sorry babe." The grey haired boy said quietly.

"I-it's ok." Zuma muttered.

"You need some sleep." Rocky stroked his hair and cuddled up with him, slowly closing his eyes and drifting off to sleep.
