Mini Giles

7- Pineapple

I was really angry, at the way Spike treated me. I am so much better than him. I returned to the Magic Box to find Giles sitting at the table by himself.

'Kat oh gosh!' he yelled running up and hugging me

'Where were you?!' he demanded

'I went for a walk, that's all' I replied

'Katerina it is dark, bad things come out at dark'

'Yeah and I can take care of myself' I said remembering what had happened with Spike. I limbed a bit over to the table

'What happened!?' he asked

'I fell. No biggie' I lied

The gang came rushing through the back door.

'Oh good, you're here Kat we were all so worried' they said

I smiled 'I'm fine'

'Are you okay? What happened' Xander asked

'Nothing' I lied again

'She fell that's all' Giles told them

'Can we go home uncle?' I asked

'Yes, yes of course Kat' Giles smiled.

We all left the shop and I waved at the others as we got into Giles' car.

'Now tell me the truth' he whispered

'Huh?' I panicked

'You didn't fall Kat' he replied not looking at me

'I don't want to talk about it' I said

'Well did you kill it?' Giles asked

'No I did not' I frowned

'We'll get it'

We pulled up in the drive way and I hopped down the stairs to the house. I went to the bathroom to take a bath, my muscles needed it. I wasn't a good fighter I only had my magic so when Spike threw me to the ground it hurt like hell. I have never felt that much pain before, I'm quite fragile. I turned on the water and watched it pour into the tub and down the drain, I had forgotten to put the plug in. I waved my hand and the tap turned off when the water got close to the edge, I took a bottle out the cupboard it made the bath smell like pineapples. It was very relaxing.

The next morning I woke up and moaned, my legs were so sore. I practically fell down the steps to the kitchen. Giles looked up and smiled at me.

'Good morning' he beamed

'Is it really?' I asked

'Yes' he replied

'Why?' I asked

'I don't know it just is' Giles laughed, the phone started ringing and I blocked my ears. I watched Giles talk on the phone, it all sounded muffled and funny. He was laughing and smiling a lot and then he hung up, he turned and faced me and started talking.

'Huh?' I said taking my hands off my ears.

'Um Olivia is coming down to see me' Giles told me

'That's nice' I replied

'I need you to stay with Buffy at college' Giles whispered

'Wait! What?' I yelled 'why? can't I stay with someone else?'

'Who?' he asked

'Why can't I stay here?' I questioned

'Because Olivia and I need grown up time and you shall stay with Buffy okay! Willow might be there' Giles told me sternly

'Okay I will stay with Buffy' I mumbled

'Thank you! Pack some stuff come on' Giles rushed.
