I spent a long time thinking about what I should do. I kept looking at Darius but I didn't say a word. I knew he would leave the decision to help the villagers up to me. I almost resented Darius for that but then I figured he was just trying to respect me. I stood up from my living area and looked at Darius again finally having made up my mind about what we should do. The sun was shining through the waterfall making the cave inside brighter than usual. "I have come to a decision Darius." I said. "I am glad to hear that Marie. What have you decided?" asked Darius. "I want to help the villages. Whatever happens. Einon has to be stopped. He has to be brought down." I said, a hint of anger in my voice.
Darius nodded in agreement. "Then our first objective is to find the right village to start off with. Preferably one that knows something about how to fight." said Darius. "There is a black smith village a little ways south from here. I heard that they practice with the swords before they deliver them to the knights. Maybe they will be willing to help us." I said. "Very good then. We will leave at first light. You need your rest. I can feel the tiredness coming off of you in waves. When was the last time you slept?" asked Darius. I looked around for a moment. "I don't know. I guess I got lost in my thinking." I said with a small yawn that followed. Darius nodded in understanding. "I can understand that. I have often lost myself in thought I still do sometimes now as well." said Darius. I smiled at the confession. "Thank you for being here Darius. " I said. Darius chuckled loudly. "Where else would I be? This is my home remember?" asked Darius still chuckling. I blushed and lowered my head. I had gotten way to comfortable living here with Darius but I wouldn't change it for the world. "Oh...... Right." I said with a chuckle. I heard Darius move and I looked up. Darius had moved to lay beside my sleeping area. "Come lay down. You will need your energy for what is to come." said Darius. I nodded and laid down but I kept tossing and turning. That is until I heard a soft humming sound coming from Darius. It sounded like a lullaby dragon style. The soft rhythm soon put me into a gentle sleep.
The next day, I woke up to the sound of thunder. Darius was half in and half out of the cave causing a mist to spray in the cave. I got up and stretched. I felt more refreshed and relaxed, the half of a day and night of sleep really did me good. "Darius?" I asked. Darius backed into the cave and looked at me. "There is a storm coming in. Do you still want to go to the black smith village today?" asked Darius. I nodded. "Might as well. If it gets real bad we can just find shelter along the way.... Right?" I asked. Darius nodded. "You will not have to worry about the weather. We will get to the village. Though it would be faster if we flew. You would have to point me in the right direction though." said Darius. I nodded looking nervous. I had only flown on Darius once, that was when he picked me up when we went into hiding. I had grabbed onto him and had my eyes shut the entire time. "I will not let you fall." said Darius. "I know. I trust you." I said. "Then shall we go?" asked Darius. I nodded and we left the cave. Darius held out a hand and I slowly climbed into his hand. "Hang on." said Darius and his wings began to flap.
"South right Marie?" asked Darius once we were in the air. I nodded but then remembered that Darius was flying. "Yeah. It was a two days ride on horse back. I imagine this way is faster. " I said. Darius chuckled. "Yes it is." said Darius then he took off towards the south. My curiosity got the best of me this time and I ended up watching the landscape pass us by. The wind was cool do to the coming storm and the clouds were getting darker, but Darius didn't seem that concerned. I smiled a big smile and ended up laughing, at what I wasn't sure. I guess it was because I was having fun. Some time later Darius started to descend. The black smith village was in sight. "Do you think they will let us help them Darius?" I asked as we landed. "It is up to you to ask. I will be near." said Darius as he let me down gently on the ground. I nodded and started walking into the village. I was hoping they would let us help. Then began the rain.

Author's note:: Hey guys. I am so sorry for the long wait. I know many of you have asked for it and I meant to do this sooner, but just as I was about to start to update, my pc had a stroke and died. Other than that I have no excuse as to why I took so long. Hopefully this chapter makes up for it. Sorry but not sorry if it seems a little long. I wanted to make up for the long delay. Comment below if you like this and is still supporting me. God Bless!
