(Y/n's pov)
I sigh happily as I feel the warm air on my skin. Grabbing my bike from the garage, I start pedaling to the quarry quickly. Today was going to be good. Hopefully.
The pain on my side was little now, but still hurt when something bumped against it.
"Hey, (Y/n)!" I hear a female voice yell. I turn around to see Beverly pedaling up behind me. "Hey!" I greet back. "Are you going to the quarry too?" I ask as she rides next to me. "Yep."
We ride to the quarry and get off of our bikes. Bev and I giggle softly as we see the five boys in their underwear looking over the cliff.
I strip down to my underwear. "I'll go!" Bev says, taking off her dress. "Sissies," she says before jogging past the boys, jumping into the water. "What the fuck!?" Richie yells as he watches her.
I laugh at the boys' faces before running to the cliff, jumping off after her. "Whooo!" I scream before hitting the water.
I return to the surface and look up at the cliff to see the five boys staring at us. "Come on!" I yell and swim over to side so they won't jump on top of me.
I giggle as the boys jump into the water one by one. "Hey, Richie," I get his attention. "Nice ass," I giggle before winking at him. Richie's eyes widen and his cheeks flush red. "Fuck you!" he quickly replies and I laugh at him, splashing him with the water.
Richie splashes back, accidently getting Eddie wet. "Hey!" Eddie yelled before splashing Richie. This somehow turned into a splash war among all of the 7 teens before we all called truths.
I feel something grab my thighs. I squeal as I'm lifted in the air by Stanley. I'm on his shoulders and I laugh loudly, placing a hand on his curly head so I don't fall. I look up to see Richie on Eddie's shoulders.
"You're about to get your ass whooped, (L/n)," Richie says and grins at me. "In your dreams, Toizer," I say, returning the grin with my own before Stanley steps towards the two boys. I grab onto Richie's shoulders and push hard. Before he can even grab onto mine he falls back into the water. I laugh loudly and so does Eddie and Stan. "Ha! Bitch!"
We swim closer to shore after that. Stanley, Eddie and Richie start their splash war again. I watch them, smiling softly. I look over to Bev who is staring at the water, Bill staring at her. I laugh softly. Lover boy.
"Something touched my foot! Look right here!" Stanley says and points to the ground. The boys search for what it is before Ben says, "It was a turtle!"
We all go to the shore, Bev and I sun tan while the guys probably stare at us. I lay hand over my rib, so they can't see the huge bruise. They were probably staring at Beverly the most though. She's really pretty. I look over to the boys to see them looking the other way nervously. I chuckle softly to myself, sitting up as the music blasted from the boom box. Beverly flips onto her back and looks up at the guys.
Richie looks into Ben's bag. "School's out for summer!" he says in such a horrible accent that I can't even tell what he's trying to do. Richie pulls out a postcard. "That's not school stuff," Ben replies.
"Who are you giving this to?" Richie asked with a shit-eating grin, turning it over. "No one," Ben snaps and rips the card away from Richie's hands.
Richie then pulls out a folder from Ben's bag, opening it. "What's with the history project?" he asks.
"Oh.. Well... When I first moved here I didn't really have anyone to hang out with," Ben replies as Richie hands the folder over to Bill. "So I just started spending time in the library,"he continues. I felt bad for Ben. At least he found people to hang out with.
"You went to the library?" Richie asks with a confused look on his face. "On purpose?"
"I wanna see!" Bev perks and gets up, walking over to Bill. She sits beside him and looks at the folder.
Ben chatters on about the black spot as I stare at Bill and Bev. I think its cute how nervous Bill gets around her.
"(Y/n) has a black spot on her ribs," Richie says and everyone looks at me. I send him a glare, covering my side with my hand. "How did you get that?" Eddie asks. "I just ran into something," I reply almost too quickly.
"Y-y-your hair," Bill stutters as he stares at Beverly. "Your hair's beatiful, Beverly," Ben speaks up with a small smile on his face.
"Oh," Bev says, pushing her curls out of her face. "Right.
Thanks," she says with a smile. Bill hands the folder over to me a I examine it carefully. Derry is one fucked up town."Why is it all murders and missing kids?" I ask before handing it to Eddie, looking up at Ben.
"Derry isn't like any other town I've been in before. They did a study once and it turns out people die or disappear three times the national average," Ben says, looking around. I raise an eyebrow. Consider my interest perked. I never really knew a lot about my town's history. Mostly because I didn't really care.
"You read that?" Bev asks, playing with her sunglasses. "Not just grown ups," Ben says, looking at me before everyone else. "Kids are worse. Way, way worse. I got more stuff if you want to see it," Ben says happily.
I nod my head. "I'll go," I say and smile at Ben. Eddie shakes his head at me, but I ignore him.
And with that we dress quickly and ride over to Ben's house on our bikes. I lay my bike on the grass before stepping on the porch with the rest of the club. I walk into Ben's room first to see him leaning against his closet door, looking nervous.
I then look around his room to see news paper clipping and pictures of Derry taped on his walls. The rest of the kids walk in, Richie and Eddie talking loudly about weird shit that might be in Ben's room.
"Wow," Richie says as he looks around the room. "Cool, huh?" Ben says with a cheeky grin. "No. No, not cool at all," Richie replies which makes Ben frown.
I look at the murders and disappearances that Derry has gone through. It seems likes no one in this town gives a shit though.
"What's that?" Stanley asks and points to some kind of writing on the wall. I look over to see what it is. "Oh that? That's the charter Derry township," Ben answers.
"Nerd alert," Richie says, adjusting his glasses. He's such an ass sometimes. "No. Actually its really interesting," Ben says softly which makes Richie shut up.
I zone out slightly as I stare at one picture, looking at the children's faces. There seemed to be something off about it.
"Where was the well house?" I hear Bill say and I turn to him. "I don't know. Somewhere in the town I guess. Why?" Ben asks.
"Nothing," Bill replies, looking slightly disappointed. It was because of his brother. I didn't know a lot about Bill, but I did know that he wanted his brother back. Of course he does.
I leave the house and ride to Mike's, looking at the slip of paper that has his address on it.
I drop the paper and groan, stopping my bike. I get off and walk over to the slip of paper, picking it up off the ground. I look up at the pole to see a missing person paper. I recognize the face immediately.
"Oh, God. Patrick," I mumble, my heart starting to race.
