(Y/n's pov)

I look up at the Pharmacy sign and then the door. I grimace and sigh deeply, but go for the door. I walk into the store and look around for Greta.

My mom told me to pick up my father's medicine for God knows what. I slowly go to the front and I don't see the girl, making me sigh in relief.

Mr. Keen looks up from his newspaper and slowly puts it down as I get to the counter. He slowly stands up, pushing up his glasses.

"For Mr. (L/n)?" he asks and I nod slightly. Mr. Keen goes to the back to get the medicine. Five minutes go by and he hasn't came back with the medicine.  I tap my foot impatiently and look around. If he could hurry up that would be great. I don't want his daughter to see me. She already gave me dirty looks and spread rumors today.

Mr.Keen comes back with a small paper bag. "Thank you," I say quickly and reach over the counter, taking the bag from him.

Mr. Keen just stares at me confused as I rush to the front of the store. I open the door, feeling the fresh air on my face.

I turn to walk down the sidewalk, but slam into someone, sending me back. I back into the door, but it didn't really hurt enough for me to be mad at the person.

I look to see Greta. I grimace deeply as I see her scoff dramatically.

"Look where you're going, loser," Greta says aggravated. I look at her like she's dumb. "You ran into me! You saw me coming out of the store!" I defend myself.

Greta furrows her eyebrows and takes a step towards me. "I would never try to touch you. That's disgusting," she says and scrunches up her noise.

I roll my eyes and step away from the door, so I'm closer to her now. "You're such full of shit," I say. "Just never bother my friends or me ever again. It'll do you a favor and me."

I step around her and grip the paper bag in my hand. "Watch your back, loser! You can't be a bitch to me and think you won't get something back!" she yells after me.

"Go fuck yourself," I say in a blank voice, not looking back at her. I hear the pharmacy door close and I sigh deeply.

I really wish she'd just leave me the fuck alone. I try to avoid her. Why can't she do the same?

I look at the sky to see a dark blue color. What time is it?

I look ahead and I see a man walking towards me. I quicken my pace. "Excuse me, sir, do you know what time it is?" I ask.

The man stops walking and looks at me before looking down at his watch. "7:15," he says.

I curse under my breath and start walking down the sidewalk. "Thank you, sir!" I yell and quicken my pace.

I really shouldn't have gone to the arcade with the Losers Club after school. The police are still strict with the curfew shit.

I cross the street quickly and down another. "Fuck," I breath out when I see two police officers in front of me. I'm about to turn around, but they are already staring at me as I walk.

"Hey! Come here!" One of them yells. I give a huff, but quicken my pace.

"What are you doing? It's past curfew," the second police officer asks.

"I was just getting my father's medicine. I'm going home now," I say and go to walk past them, but one of the men grab my arm.

"No, I'm taking you to the station. Your mama can pick you up from there," the police officer says and leads me to the backseat of the police car.

He opens the door and I get inside before he closes the door behind me. I slump in my seat and cross my arms over my chest as the two men get in the car.

The whole ride there the police officers ask me a series of pointless questions. I answer all of them with a blank face.

One of the men opens the door for me once we get to the police station. I step out and walk to the doors and step inside.

I look around the small station to see some people working and some other people that don't seem to work here. One of the police officers puts their hand on my back, leading me to a set of phones.

"Take you're time. You can wait right here when you're done," the man says before pointing to a row of chairs.

I nod softly at him and slowly pick up one of the phones. "And don't feel afraid. You'll be fine," the police officer says and winks at me.

I squint my eyes at him and nod slightly again. "Thank you," I say slowly before turning towards the keypad of the phone. I put in the number and lean against the wall, waiting for my mom to answer.

"Hello?" I hear her voice come from the phone. "Hey mom," I say softly.

"(Y/n)! Where the hell are you?" my mother yells, making me furrows my eyebrows.

"I'm at the police station." She's about to say something, but I quickly cut her off. "I was just running a little late past curfew and some nice police officers took me here to call you and so you could pick me up."

My mother sighs heavily. "Okay, but we're going to have a long conversation about this," she says which makes me smirk softly.

"Okay, see you soon," I say almost happily. "Mhm," Is all she says before hanging up.

I put the phone down before sitting in one of the uncomfortable metal chairs. I look around and something catches my attention.

A woman is crying to a police officer with lazy eyes. "Officer," she slurs. "It was really an accident."

I recognize the woman to be Richie's mom. I furrow my eyebrows and try to listen more.

"Ma'am, you peed on someone's car on purpose. You're highly intoxicated. I'll get you some water," The officer says and grabs Mrs. Toizer's arms, setting her in the chair. She continues to sob desperately as he walks off to get her water.

I lean back in my seat and look at my hands. I kinda knew Richie's mom drank a lot, but I didn't know it was this bad. She's really fucked up.

"(Y/n)?" I look up to see my mother looking down at me. I quickly stand up and hug her. "Thank you for coming to get me," I say softly.

"No problem, babe," she says and wraps her arm around my shoulders, walking me out of the station. I hug her side as we walk to the car.

You better know that she gave me a long ass lecture about time management.
