Mike's P.O.V

This morning, El and I went to school together since she stayed the night. So at least I have some protection.

“El, you can go to class, I'll be fine for now.” I say.

“No. I don't want you to get hurt.”

I smile softly, “I'll be safe in class, trust me.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes. Go on. You've got a longer walk than me.” I smile, squeezing her hand softly.

She nods, walking towards class.

I glance around quickly, trying to make sure that I'm safe.

My eyes connect with Henry's from the end of the hall.

Shit!

I can't go anywhere but out of the school, or to the bathroom from here.

“Wheeler!” He yells, coming towards me, fast.

I open my mouth to yell for Eleven, but his hand covers it.

He whispers, “You have to cry to your girlfriend? She's not gonna help you. No one will. In fact, no one will be able to help you at all when I'm done with you.”

I bite my lip, trying not to let my eyes get watery.

He let's go. So I swing at him, punching him right in the jaw.

He winces in pain, then glares hard at me.

“You're so dead!” He yells before throwing me to the floor.

I hit my head hard, making everything super blurry.

He hits me in the face a couple times, then there's a loud scream.

He's gone. But now, I can't see.

Eleven's P.O.V

With tears in my eyes, I hold up Mike's head, lightly kissing his forehead.

Henry is bleeding out of his head, laying on the floor by the wall.

Everyone got scared when I used my powers, so they left.

“Mike? Wake up.” I say softly.

Nervously, I shake. But more angry than sad, I stand up, going over to the boy who hurt my Mike.

I hold my hand out, lifting him up with my powers.

He wakes up choking.

“You hurt Mike!” I yell with my face burning with fury.
