We stayed in Palawan for one week. And I gotta say... a lot has happened.
And neither of those are memorable. They're... horrible and embarrassing. So embarrassing that I just wanted to hide in my room forever.
I tried so hard not to look at Kiel when they arrived and joined our table. Ang mga pinsan ko namang nangaasar sa akin kanina pa ay tumingin sa akin. Hinihintay ang susunod kong gagawin. I turned to them and gave them a questioning look.
Benjamin pointed at Kiel using his lips. Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay.
"Aren't you going to sit beside him?" Gio whispered at me. Umiling ako at hindi na ako sumagot pa.
Nakita ko namang nakangisi sa akin si Kuya Aiden. Tinaasan ko rin siya ng kilay at hindi na siya pinansin pa. They are so annoying! If they are trying to embarrass me more, then they should stop! Hindi na nakakatawa!
Pinasadahan ko naman ng tingin ang mga tao dito sa table namin. On the farthest corner are Margaux and Jaxon who seems to be very engrossed with their conversation. Beside Jaxon is obviously his brother, Kiel, who is silently drinking his beer. Beside him is the almost passed out Dominic. Nang makitang nakatingin ako sakanya ay tinaas niya ang kanyang bote sa akin. He smiled cheekily before he took a sip from it again.
Beside him is my brother who is texting someone. Probably just one of his girls. Umirap ako at tiningnan na ang katabi niya. Beside him is Kuya Aiden who is probably calling Ate Ana to tell her to come here and join us. Sa tabi niya naman ay si Gio na napapalinga-linga sa buong paligid, naghahanap siguro ng babae.
But I heard his eyes are already set for this certain someone. Pero maniwala naman ako dun! It's a hoax!
Katabi ni Gio ay ako. Pagkatapos ay si Felicity na sinusubukang makipag-usap kay Kiel. Sa sobrang pagtingin ko sa pinsan ko ay hindi ko na napansin na nakatingin na rin pala sa akin si Kiel. I quickly tore my eyes away from him and immediately took a sip from my beer, acting like nothing happened.
Later on, Ate Ana arrived at the restobar. Gio gave space for her to sit beside her husband. Ngumiti ito sakanya. I heard him asking about their kids.
"Pinatulog ko na. Nandoon na rin si Mama, mukhang pagod." Sabi niya. Tumango naman si Kuya Aiden at nakita kong ipinulupot na niya ang kanyang kamay sa baywang ni Ate Ana.
"Why is no one talking?" Dominic said. "Just because we already made Brittany admit that he's attracted to this guy," he pointed at Kiel. "Doesn't mean we should all stay quiet? Come on! Where's the fun?!"
Napahilot nalang ako ng aking sentido sa sinabi ni Dominic. Benjamin chuckled at mukha namang handang-handa nang buksan muli ang usapang iyon.
"Are you still not over it?" mataray kong tinanong sakanya.
