Ba-thump. . .

Ba-thump. . .

"Heartbeat."

Ba-thump. Ba-thump. Ba-thump.

BA-THUMP BA-THUMP BA-THUMP BA-THUMP BA-THUMP BA-THUMP BA -

Silence.

Your eyes fluttered open as you sat up in bed, your comforter pooling in your lap. It was dark in your room, almost too dark to see, but as you glanced to your right, you were able to make out the nightstand holding the ACP atop it, as well as your phone.

"Must still be early," you mumbled with a yawn as you reached across the bed for your phone. The screen lit up "3:25 AM", and you let out a groan, running a hand through your hair as you laid back against the mattress.

"Wait a sec." Your brows knitted together as your gaze trailed down to your waist, and your eyes landed on your nightshirt hiked up on your hip. "What happened to my. . . ?"

Something stirring to your left made you flinch, and you sat up in bed again, slowly turning your head.

"R-Roy?" you whispered, your mouth falling open at the sight of the muscular redhead sleeping in bed beside you. Roy's hair was a mess, his skin imprinted with the creases of the sheets beneath him, but you were even more surprised to see the thick, long scratch marks streaked down Roy's backside.

"Roy," you breathed softly, reaching out to him. As soon as your fingers touched Roy's skin, he let out a groan, rolling over onto his side to face you.

"(Y/. . . (Y/N)?" He mumbled, his eyes slowly opening. His hazy blue gaze slowly trailed up to meet your, and he yawned, a small smile spreading across his face. "Good, you're up."

"Roy, what are you doing in here?" you asked, frowning. "And, why aren't you wearing a shirt?" You suddenly hesitated, glancing back down at your chest before letting out a yelp and snatching up the blankets to cover yourself. "And, what the hell happened to my shirt?!"

"Well, I mean, it is my room," Roy murmured, rolling his eyes groggily. "But, now that you're awake. . ." Your eyes widened as Roy reached over and placed a hand on the other side of you, hovering over the rest of your body. "We can finish from where we left off." Your mouth fell opened as Roy leaned down and placed his lips on your neck, forcing you back against the mattress as he pinned your hands to the bed by your wrists.

"Roy, what the hell are you doing?" you hissed, letting out a grunt as Roy bit down on your skin. "Let me go!" Roy hesitated for a moment before pulling away, his tongue slowly trailing up the nape of your neck.

"Don't you remember?" Roy muttered. "It was you that practically dragged me in here. Hell, you were begging me to--" You let out a growl as you shoved Roy off, pulling the bed sheet with you as you slid out of bed.

"What are you talking about?" you snapped, wrapping the sheet messily around your body. "I would never--!"

"Oh, really?" Roy muttered, cocking an eyebrow as he lifted the comforter from his body. "Take a closer look, sweetheart." Your face flushed with embarrassment, but you couldn't look away when you caught sight of a thin trail of dark purple marks trailing from Roy's neck down his stomach, all the way to his--

"That wasn't me!" you exclaimed, shaking your head as you turned and ran for the bedroom door. You paid no attention to Roy calling after you as she threw open the door, darting across the hall to your own room. You pulled the door open and slipped inside, leaning back against the door as it slammed shut behind you.
