Mind Trap

Chapter 10

I suddenly had the urge to laugh. 

Mr. Lancer and Jack were simple jaw-slacked. Their eyes wide with the feeling of fear they now felt.

Lil'Red looked a bit better, but just a bit. Responsibility had a similar look in his eyes that she used to seeing in my eyes when I got serious. Now knowing that I and Danny are one in the same she was able to be better prepared... But it mustn't have have completely sunk in till now.

Now Maddie, she was threatening to break my limit what with her broken gaze and eyes so wide I wouldn't be surprised if they popped out of her head.

"Ah. Cousins. Welcomed back," Knowledge stated with a slight smile, he then pointed towards Protector. "Look, our cousin is early for once. How wonderful."

"Yes," spoke Responsibility, his voice smooth and regal, "How rare it is for you to arrive before us, dear Protector..."

"And with humans!" Stress, for lack of a better word, stressed. "Humans! In our Mind! Do you know the consequences humans in our mind?!?! And this on top of our Math test tomorrow that we still need to study for, Skulker hasn't bothered us in weeks which means that we're due for another hunt soon, Μητέρα wants us to meet up to see if we had chosen a mate, Patro wants to work on our, we haven't even started on our History report, and our appointment with CW is in just a few days from now. Then there's our detention for when Ember scorch our homework, Vlad's newest plan, Jazz's sanity sessions, avoiding Deedle-Dee and Deedle-Dumb's new projects, Hatred has been trying to break free again, Paranoia has locked everyone out of his room because there are humans in our mind, Sanity has locked himself and Insanity away again in hopes of finding balance, Lazy stole Obsession's blanket again, Master Daniel has been locked away deep within the Heart, Master Ph... OMG I JUST REMEMBERED THAT DANI HASN"T CHECKED IN YET!!!!!!!!"

As Stress began to ramble to himself I turned to Responsibility to gain some answers. "What does he mean 'Master Daniel has been locked away deep withing the Heart'?"

The seriousness on Responsibility was unexpected as he spoke, "I can't be too sure. When we arrived outside the Heart, it, along with the core, were frozen in ice so deep that I couldn't break it. It ice was foggy, but we could see someone floating, frozen within. I can't think of who else it could be seeing as only you two are allowed in the Heart and Core unless it is urgent. However, it was dark and blurry, so I can't be too sure about whether or not it truly was Master Daniel."

"I see," I stated with a frown, turning back to my book; however, I couldn't keep focus upon the book as my mind was kept turning back to my other half who may or may not be trapped within our mind.

By now, Danny's classmates had begun to return, having found nothing of blackmail-worthy within the confines they had been given. They stopped at seeing Responsibility calmly sitting down and drinking out of a colorful mug with Stress sitting by him, writing furiously within his little notebook and muttering to himself.

"Who..." was all a certain blond jock could say before he was interrupted.

"LAZY!! GIVE ME BACK MY CAP!"

"NO!!!! THIS MY BLANKET AND I'M TIRED!!! SO LEAVE ME ALONE AND LET ME SLEEP YOU HERO OBSESSED FOOL!!"

Rushing in and past them, in order to hid behind Responsibility, was Danny; ordinary, everyday Danny... except that he now wore a red hat and a forest green coat... He also was holding a white bed sheet.

"Responsibility! Obsession is trying to take my blanket again!" This new Danny whined as he clutched his blanket protectively.

"Great~ They're at it again~" Protector groaned as he placed his head in his hands.

"OMG I JUST REMEMBERED! WAS OBSESSION TOLD THAT WE HAVE HUMANS IN OUR MIND?!?!"

My eyes, along with Responsibility, Knowledge, and Lazy's, widened as all four of us realized no one informed Obsession of our... guests.

And it was too late as in rushed in the one aspect that looks completely like me.

The humans, minus those that knew, gasped as a figure clad in a black hazmat suit with white gloves, boots, and belt came flying in; a flaming white D with a black P within clearly on his chest. Emerald-green eyes glowed with rage as snow-white hair blew in the non-existed breeze. "LAZY! GIVE ME BACK MY CAP!"

Lazy  picked out from behind his hiding place, a.k.a. behind Responsibility. "NO! IT'S MY BLANKET."

"CAP!"

"BLANKET!"

"CAP!" 

"BLANKET!"

"CAP!!"

"BLAN..."

"Enough!" A simple command, that wasn't even yelled but, instead, softly spoken, was enough for the duo to freeze...

And it was at that moment that Obsession realized that they had an audience... of humans.

He turned to the gobsmacked humans, those that were in shock, his glowing emerald eyes widen in fear.

"Oops"
