Chapter 10: Tears.

1 week after the deal...
Eunwoo's POV:

"It's been a week... I haven't seen my mom for days and I haven't been to school." I pull my covers over my head in agony.

"This is frustrating! Is my mom mad at me for not taking the deal?! She was sad when she told me, but she seems to be avoiding me! Aish I haven't talked to anyone in days!" I grab my turned off phone and hesitate to power it on.

"Y/N... I miss her.." I clutch my heart thinking of how I just disappeared for a week without a word nor a text.

"Stupid grandma." I get out of bed for the first time in forever and freshen up in the restroom.

I look at my face in the mirror realizing that a monster was staring back at me. Baggy eyes, an unwashed face, messy hair, and the same unwashed white shirt with stains.

"AHH!" I scream realizing that monster was me.

Instead of trying to look less like a monster I just walk to the park the way that I was.

"Who cares, no one will know it's actually me!" I grab my coat and walk out the door with a tired grin on my face.

At the park

As I get my ice cream, I bump into somebody...

"Oh I'm so-" I rub my eyes not sure if it was hallucination due to my lack of sleep, or if it was Y/N with that jerk Jun.

"Um it's ok." She said as Jun clung to her arm.

"Sorry about my girlfriend! She's just too cute and clumsy!" Jun pulled Y/N to him.

"G-Girlfriend?" I realized that they don't recognize me as my heart shattered into a million pieces.

"Yea, do you not have one? They're amazing!" Jun smiled happily looking lovingly at Y/N.

She wasn't denying it but looked very angry and annoyed.

"Actually I do have one Well I don't know anymore... I met her online and met in real life. We loved each other and ate ice cream all the time! I left for a week and now she's cheating on me with her childhood friend!" I clutch my fist angrily feeling the need to punch someone.

"E-Eunwoo?? You knew I was Juby?!" Y/N looked at me with shock.

"Yes? My so called girlfriend!?" I say sarcastically as I storm off with my ice cream.

"Wait!" She called out to me in tears.
I just walked home and never looked back...
As I arrived home I got an unknown call...

???: "Is this Cha Eunwoo?"

Eunwoo: "What the hell do you want!?"

???: "I'm sorry... this is the doctors. Your mom just passed away from a heart attack."

Eunwoo: "WHICH HOSPITAL?"

???: "Busan medical care."

I hang up drive there as fast I can. Tears running down my face but not as fast as my heart beat.

I arrive at the hospital room half expecting my mom to be there with a big warm smile like how she always does, but instead I'm greeted with a cold corpse.

"M-Mom?" I sob falling to the floor.

"Your mom's not here Eunwoo... I'm sorry for your lost..." My aunt pats my back with her tears running down her face.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN I SEE HER RIGHT HERE!" Sobs fill the room... mostly of me screaming of her to come back. I feel someone grab my arm and dragged me out the room. As soon as I know it my grandmother throws me to the ground looking down at me.

"Child, I've been searching for you. Since your mom left you will be taking care of her and my business." My grandma who I despised told me with a cold expression.

This lady brought my mom hell, throwing tons of stress on her...

"Why would I ever work with you! Why are you even here?! You caused her so much pain!" Tears stream down my face. "Heh... I would like to pick someone else trust me, but they told me the next heir of the company has to be my grandson. Since you know all your cousins are girls except for two which are toddlers. Do you think those two twins could possibly be the heir of my company at 3 years old?" My grandma looks at me as if I'm to be thrown away like trash.

"I don't want to work with you..." I say looking away wiping my tears.

"You know your mom told me about this one girl she thinks is your girlfriend... Actually I forced her to tell me because I thought it would be useful for times like this. Y/N is it? Do you want her life to be a living hell?" She smirks at me.

"W-What do you mean?" I say with my head down.

"You know what I mean. Just look what happened to your mom." She stares down at me like a peasant.

"Don't you dare lay a finger on Y/N you monster..." A tear runs down my face while I try to be strong, but still Knowing that I have no choice but to fall into her hands.

"Glad to do business with you. You must love her very much... heh stupid I forgot to add one part. If you ever see her again I will make sure her life is as miserable as your mom's death." She adds on while walking out of the hospital. I just do what's right for everybody and listens to what she says.

I run back to my mom's room...

My act of trying to be strong didn't last for long...

"Mom what do I do?" I sob holding my mom's cold hand. "I'm sorry I didn't know your situation... was she using me against you?! Did she over work you?! THIS IS ALL MY FAULT FOR NOT NOTICING YOUR HEALTH PROBLEMS!" I sob feeling dizzy for regretting what I didn't do with my mom. "Mom you mean so much to me... you passed away and Dad left... it's just me... why d-did you leave me? Was I not g-good enough for you?" I say choking up on my tears. "I l-love you mom... I'm sorry... IM SORRY!" I yell through my sobs.
