RINGGGG!!!

"Yay, no more English!" I cheered and then saw Ash looking at his phone. "Whatcha looking at?"Ash didn't even bother looking at me, his face went from happy to depressed in a snap, and then he walked out of class with sorrow.

"Probably a text message," Dawn explained, as she went up to me.

"I know, but he just got hurt or something, we have to help him!"

Then a memory flashed in my head.

A decade ago...

"Mom, I wanna help that boy!" I yelled.

"How would you help?"

"I'll help by playing with him! It's the right thing to do!"

"You don't want to help a person, he'll grow up to be a cold-hearted man."

"Fine! Tell me his name then!"

"His name is Ash Ketchum."

Back to now...

"Serena?" Dawn asked.

"I just had a flashback and oh god, oh god, oh god."

"What?"

"I have to help him, now!" I yelled. "I knew him way back when, I remember his jet black hair his hazel eyes, everything!"

"Huh?"

"Sorry Dawn! I'll just... skip my next class or something!"

"Okay?"

I let go of her arm and ran as fast as I could to catch up with the suddenly-changed Ash Ketchum.I pushed past the crowds and sprinted through the hallway. I had to catch up with that guy, I'll give him what I owed him all of these years.

"Serena?" He asked me, as he saw me in the hallway when I ran up to him.

He was sitting on a stone barrier that guarded the fountain.

"I know that something happened to you, and I want to know what it is! I know who you are, I've met you before!" I yelled.

"Yeah well, I've never met you before."

"I know that, but I really want to help you!"

He looked into my ocean blue eyes, and he just shrugged. "Maybe next time."

He left me in the dust as he stood up to leave.

"That's not fair! I'm just trying to make you happy!"

"You're too much like my girlfriend, or, past girlfriend."

My jaw dropped when he said that because I knew what that text message was about.

"You're telling me that your girlfriend broke up with you over text??"

He nodded and ran off to his next class.

I sat on the bench that Ash was sitting on before.

"Hello there." A boy with brown hair waved. "Who are you?"

"Serena," I said.

"So you're skipping your next class too I suppose?"

"Ye-" The bell then rang. "Yeah."

"Me too, want to do something?" He asked.

"I'm sorry, I like someone else." I sighed, as I looked away from him.

"Who? Don't tell me that you're one of those Ash Ketchum lovers, he has a girlfriend."

"You don't know him as well as I do then."

"Ash is my brother. If I don't know him, no one does."

"I can name something you don't know about him."

"And that is?"

"Misty broke up with him over text."

"What?" The boy jumped.

"And you haven't even told me your name."

"Sorry, the name is Calem."

"Great. You can leave if you want. I should be heading to the gym because third period will be started, anyways. I'll see you around though, sorry for being rude. In a bad mood."

"Yup, see you, and it's okay! Oh, this is Ash's number if you ever need it," Calem explained, as he gave me a slip of paper with 10 numbers written on it. "Cya!"

This is a random number I made up. Do not call this number thinking that it will let you talk to Ash Ketchum.

I looked at the paper. 555-382-5028, huh? Hmmm... sounds easy enough to memorize, so many fives. Shoot, I got to go to this gym as soon as possible.
