I ran home and opened the door.

"So, how was your second day of school?" Mom asked, as she heard me almost break the lamp on the table that was behind the door.

"It was great.." I said exhaustedly.

"Glad you're getting into after school clubs already," Mom chuckled.

"Yeah... that place is serious with Pokémon," I explained.

"That's great, something that you enjoy!"

"Like, really really into it, Mom, like, more than anyone should. A quarter of the school went to that tournament."

"A quarter?!?!" Mom jumped. "So like, 100 students?"

"23," I explained. "23 x 4 = 92, there's only 92 students at the school, Mom."

"How do you know it's exactly a quarter?"

"I don't, but it looked like it," I sighed.

And I just realized that this was way different than the 240 I thought it was earlier, it was easily not a quarter, but once you say something you have to keep that opinion strong until the person forgot about it.

"Alright, dinner's ready," Mom said, as she moved two plates over to the kitchen table. "Hope you like it."

"Time to dig in," I grinned, as I saw chicken on the plate.

If I was in the Pokémon world, I'd be vegetarian, but since I'm not, YUM!

"Hello students!" Professor Oak announced. "Now in accomplishment of having the Pokémon Tournaments back on, I think that since everybody in this class is in it should write what they think about it so far."

Everybody then grinned about the exciting topic.

"But it has to be 1,000 words long, and it has to have good vocabulary. Oh, and it's a group project."

The atmosphere then became so much darker and sadder.

"Alright, you guys can either pick, or I'll draw sticks."

What "drawing sticks" was, is that the professor had everyone's name on different sticks in a cup. They then pick up two sticks, and those people are declared working partners.

"Raise your hand if you want to pick!"

I didn't raise my hand because Dawn would probably want to be with her other friends or something, turns out no one wanted to pick.

"Alright... first group is Paul and Dawn..."

"..next is May and Drew.."

"..after that is Lillie and Moon..."

"..Serena and Ash.."

I paused at the group. Ash and me? NO! Ugh!

"Professor, can I go to the bathroom?" I asked.

"Yeah, take the pass."

Pass? Pfft. I took it and threw it across the classroom to land on my seat.

"Dang," I heard one of the students mumble.

I then left the classroom and went in the hallway. I stood on one foot with my other foot touching the wall, my knee sticking forwards. I didn't want to be his partner, did I? No I didn't.. I don't know, maybe?

"Serena, why are you out here?" Calem asked, as he saw me.

"Uhhh... no reason! I just.. took a wrong turn?" I lied, and I started to walk back.

"Wait." Calem said, and I turned around.

"Yeah?"

"I might've looked like a jerk yesterday, but I honestly didn't think that.. you'd beat me.. I- I'm sorry."

"You weren't a jerk, you were just confident in what you were doing," I explained. "There's no need to apologize."

"Thanks, Serena. But seriously, what are you out here for?"

"Fine, I got in a group project with Ash."

"So?"

"It's about a paper about the Pokémon club!" I yelled.

"The whole school doesn't have to hear you."

"Whoops, but seriously."

"Why are you so mad that Ash is your partner?"

"Because he's such a jerk! I don't know why, I want to be with him but at the same time I don't!"

"It's not like you're going to get out of it, I'd just accept the fact that you're partners," Calem suggested.

"Huh? Okay I guess you're right. I'll see you at the club." I waved, and ran back to class.

Calem just smiled and shook his head, and I think he went back to class as well, or he just skipped all of them.
