I think my presence cheered up Serena. She started ignoring the fact that her mom died more and more as we talked. I'm not saying that she didn't care about her mom, I'm saying that she didn't focus on that as much.

"So basically, we got enough money for your plan!" I cheered.

"Wait, seriously? Then we can make this all work!" Serena smiled. She smiled. I'm so glad that she's getting better through that event.

"We just need a way to show that guy that we're a threat that they need to take down," Serena explained.

"That's simple. The Pokémon Contest is already attracting attention. If we could somehow say that it was dedicated to him," I suggested.

"But that's almost impossible," Serena explained. "You see, the contest can't be dedicated to that guy because we don't know his name."

"Right," I sighed. "Then, what are we going to do?"

"Street riots, cause problems in the city. We'll be noticed, and he'll want to take one of us. Out in public, out anywhere, we have to wear the trackers."

"Everywhere?" I asked.

"Yes. He could take us in our sleep for goodness sakes, we don't know what that he's capable of."

"There's probably more than one," I replied, and Serena nodded.

"Which makes it even worse. First thing's first, we have to buy the trackers."

"Amazon," I suggested, and Serena nodded again.

"Amazon it is," Serena chuckled. If she's laughing, she has to be able to go back to school tomorrow. You know what? I'll just ask.

"Serena, are you going to go to school tomorrow?"

"Anything for you," she smiled, and kissed my cheek.

"Then that's a yes?"

"Of course, silly."

I looked over at Serena in class

I looked over at Serena in class. We were all going to share our English projects. Luckily, I worked on ours after school most of the time, and Serena was actually impressed on what I did.

"Alright, first up is Misty and Gary!"

"Can we pull up the document?" Misty asked, and Professor Oak nodded. "K! We added a few memes, so when we get to those, you're allowed to laugh!"

"Alright, so the first part we wrote about was Ash and Miette's battle, and how Ash totally creamed her," Gary smiled, throwing fire at Miette.

I was way more interested since Gary gave me that moment. Serena nudged me a bit, and I nudged her back.

"Next, there was the surprise with Serena and Calem. Even with Calem's huge decrease in reputation, they're still best friends to this day!"

Calem and Serena exchanged a smile, and I gave a thumbs up to them both.

"Then, there was the break. Misty and I still wanted to chop each other's throats," Gary sighed, and we chuckled.

There was then the meme, "Hello darkness my dear friend," in the background. Everyone bursted into laughter.

"But we made a truce, just like Ash and Serena did. We're friends with the two superstars, so most of our project is about them."

"Thanks for the compliment," I blurted out.

"No problem, Ash," Misty smiled. "So then after that, Alain beat Paul, and May one shot Drew..."

Drew's face went red in embarrassment. May next to him patted his back.

"Way to be a good sport," Serena smiled.

"If anyone was a good sport in the competition, it would be Calem," I replied, looking at Calem. "Some bullies have started targeting him with his somehow fail battle."

"Really? I didn't know," Serena sighed, looking back at Misty and Gary.

It's true, people have been bullying Calem. Honestly, I didn't even notice because I was so depressed with Serena. It was definitely the Great Depression of Kanto College. He had Brendan though. If he was taking all of those comments to heart, then he would've told me. Calem and I have been outcasts and living on the streets since Dad left us when we were five. We're the closest siblings could ever get. We've been through suffering and sadness and excitement and so much more together.

"And that's it!" Gary and Misty yelled at the same time.

They then faced each other.

"This is what it's all brought us," Misty smiled, and then...

THEY KISSED?!?!?!?!?!?!

Everyone stood up and clapped on accomplishment, while I was this the whole time:
